Vaccine hesitancy is a persistent, global public health concern that community health nurses are well-positioned to manage. Simulations involving standardized patients are effective experiential learning on managing vaccine hesitancy for other allied health disciplines. A pretest-posttest design, with a mixed-methods, one-group, quasi-experimental approach, was used to examine the effectiveness of a simulation on nursing students' knowledge of measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine hesitancy, as well as their attitudes toward the intervention.

Chronic total occlusions of coronary arteries occur in about 20% of patients with suspected coronary artery disease and are more frequent with increasing age. The success rate of interventions is lower (55-80%) compared to conventional lesions (>90%). Background: There are indications that the influence of external guidelines on the quality of health care is limited and they are little or not at all used in clinical practice. It was the aim of this study to examine how and to what extent the external S3 guideline "Management of Early Rheumatoid Arthritis" was applied in a rheumatism center.

Background: Oncology is a resource-intensive medical discipline where, so far, effectiveness rather than efficiency of a treatment has stood in the foreground. The aim of our study was, therefore, to determine the resource allocation and to assess the efficiency of oncology in Germany for the period of 2002-2004.
