Quantum-dot (QD) light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) are garnering significant attention owing to their superb optoelectrical properties, but the overinjection of electrons compared to holes into the emissive layer (EML) is still a critical obstacle to be resolved. Current approaches, such as inserting a charge-balancing interlayer and mixing p-type organic additives into the EML, face issues of process complexity and poor miscibility. In this work, we demonstrate efficient InP QLEDs by simply embedding NiO nanoparticles (NPs) into the EML which forms a homogeneous QD-metal oxide hybrid EML.

Several atomically precise edge structures have been prepared by bottom-up synthesis; however, no systematic elucidation of these edge topologies at the molecular level has been reported. Herein, we describe rationally designed modular syntheses of isomeric dibenzoixenes with diverse molecular peripheries, including cove, zigzag, bay, fjord, and gulf structured.

Current clinical methods such as endoscopic examination with and without intrathecal injection of fluorescent dye are invasive and rely on subjective judgment by physicians, highlighting the clinical need for label-free point-of-care (POC). However, a viable solution remains undeveloped due to the molecular complexity of CSF rhinorrhea mixed with nasal discharge and the scarcity of specific biomarkers, delaying sensor development.

However, the poor performance of p-type VFET arises from the lack of a gate-field-penetrating electrode with suitable work functions, which is essential for VFET operation. This motivated us to replace graphene (work function of ∼4.

This study evaluated the synergistic effects of a β-lactam and β-lactamase inhibitor combination against and explored the underlying mechanisms. Synergy was assessed through MIC tests and time-kill studies, and binding affinities of nine β-lactams and BLIs to eight target receptors (L,D-transpeptidases [LDT] 1-5, D,D-carboxypeptidase, penicillin-binding protein [PBP] B, and PBP-lipo) were assessed using mass spectrometry and kinetic studies.

Although interest in peptide-based cancer vaccines has surged in the era of personalized immunotherapy enabled by the discovery of neoantigens, the effective generation of neoantigen-specific T cell responses has been limited. Here, a Brucella BP26 protein-based nanoparticle displaying the MHC class II-restricted melanoma neoantigen, M30, is reported for use as a therapeutic cancer vaccine. Genetic engineering of 10 tandem repeats of the M30 neoepitope to a BP26 monomer results in the self-assembled, neoantigen-displaying protein nanoparticles (BP26-M30 NPs).

We previously found that GM-CSF enhances inflammatory cytokine production in murine monocytes and is required for control of the intracellular bacterial pathogen . It is unclear whether GM-CSF similarly augments cytokine production in human monocytes during bacterial infection.

However, scalable technologies for probing single-cell connectivity are lacking, and we are just beginning to understand how molecularly defined cell types are organized into functional circuits. Here, we describe a protocol to generate high-complexity barcoded rabies virus (RV) for scalable circuit mapping from tens of thousands of individual starter cells in parallel.

The escalating emergence of antibiotics-resistant mutants has led to increased interest in using bacteriophage as an alternative antimicrobial agent.
Methods: Two phages, CR8 and S13, were isolated from feces and soil samples and their morphology, physiology, and genomics were characterized.
The demand for all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs) featuring credible LiPSCl argyrodite (LPSCl) electrolytes is increasing, driving interest in exploring suitable current collectors for ASSBs. Copper (Cu), used as a current collector in traditional lithium-ion batteries, exhibits significant instability in LPSCl-ASSBs. In this study, the effectiveness of iron (Fe) is systematically investigated as an alternative current collector in LPSCl-ASSBs and compare its performance to that of Cu.

A machine learning (ML) strategy is suggested to optimize dual-layer oxide thin film transistor (TFTs) performance. In this study, Bayesian optimization (BO), an algorithm recognized for its efficiency in optimizing material design, is applied to guide the design of a channel layer composed of IZO and IGZO. The sputtering fabrication process, which has attracted attention as an oxide semiconductor channel layer deposition method, is fine-tuned using ML to enhance multiple electrical characteristics of transistors: field-effect mobility, threshold voltage, and subthreshold swing.

Methods: We prospectively enrolled PD patients for clinical assessments, balance analysis and gait with 180' turning. Spatiotemporal gait parameters during turning were derived based on video-based analysis and correlated with modified Hoehn and Yahr (mHY) stages and center of pressure (COP) oscillations.

Nursing students' negative perceptions of and reduced interest in individuals experiencing mental health challenges could lead to problems such as deteriorating quality of mental health nursing and lack of competent, qualified mental health nurses. Promoting changes and developments in mental health nursing education for greater effectiveness is pivotal. This study aimed to develop, introduce and validate a blended learning service user involvement programme for mental health nursing education-the first of its kind in South Korea.

Brain ischemia is a major cause of neurological dysfunction and mortality worldwide. It occurs not only acutely, such as in acute ischemic stroke (AIS), but also in chronic conditions like cerebral small vessel disease (cSVD). Any other conditions resulting in brain hypoperfusion can also lead to ischemia.
