Atherosclerosis, in which chronic inflammation is also effective in it's pathogenesis, is an important cause of morbidity and mortality in psoriasis patients. Early diagnosis and management of atherosclerosis is important. Measurement of carotid intima media thickness is a method used to determine subclinical atherosclerosis.

Scars and anatomical changes caused by previous surgeries make finding the RLN during redo thyroid surgeries difficult. We aimed to analyze the results of the inferior-to-superior dissection technique that we applied to find the RLN in redo surgeries.

Materials And Methods: Survey questions were determined for the study.
Cancer, defined by the continuous, uncontrollable proliferation of cells in the human body, is a disease with a rapidly increasing incidence and mortality rate. Scientists are looking for novel ways to cure and prevent this sneaky disease because of the toxicity of contemporary chemotherapy and the cancer cells' resilience to anticancer drugs. Determining the effect of herbal medicines, which do not have as harmful side effects as synthetic drugs, on cancer cell lines is an essential preliminary study in the production of effective drugs against cancer.

Some demonstrations have used deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), but bottlenecks in nucleic acid synthesis continue to make DNA data storage orders of magnitude more expensive than electronic storage media. Additionally, despite its potential for long-term storage, DNA faces durability challenges from environmental degradation.

This study aimed to review the site-specific difference and the potential benefits of actionable mutation panel for colorectal cancer in relation to the clinicopathological features.
Material And Methods: One hundred and six patients who underwent colorectal surgery with curative or palliative intent for histopathologically confirmed carcinoma between June 2016 and June 2018 were identified from a prospectively maintained database.
Two novel quinoline-anthracene conjugates comprising styrylquinoline and anthracene moieties linked by triazole bridges were designed and synthesized in good yields. These molecules were determined for some metabolic enzymes activities. Results indicated that the synthetic molecules exhibited powerful inhibitory actions against all aims as compared to the control molecules.

Objective: Pulmonary thromboembolism is a disease with high morbidity and mortality. Various changes occur on the electrocardiogram secondary to pulmonary thromboembolism. The objective of this study was to investigate variations in QT dispersion, Tpeak-Tend duration, and Tpeak-Tend/QT ratio in relation to pulmonary thromboembolism localization and their impacts on 30-day mortality.

Significant advances have been made in its pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment over the past few decades. However, little is known about the occurrence of synchronous or methacronous tumors with other histogenesis in addition to GISTs.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare the plasma oxytocin levels of children with separation anxiety disorder (SAD) and their mothers with those of healthy controls and to examine the relationship between oxytocin levels and changes in anxiety three months after treatment.
Methods: Thirty children aged 6-12 years with SAD, 30 healthy children, and mothers of both groups were included in the study. All cases were evaluated with semi-structured interview and Clinical Global Impression Scale.
Purpose: Genetic studies of multiple sclerosis (MS) susceptibility and severity have focused on populations of European ancestry. Studying MS genetics in other ancestral groups is necessary to determine the generalisability of these findings. The genetic Association study in individuals from Diverse Ancestral backgrounds with Multiple Sclerosis (ADAMS) project aims to gather genetic and phenotypic data on a large cohort of ancestrally-diverse individuals with MS living in the UK.

We aimed to compare overall quality of life (QoL) and satisfaction with breast reconstruction in patients undergoing BCS and OPS using the Quality of Life Questionnaire Core 30 (QLQ-C30) and recently validated QLQ-Breast Reconstruction module (QLQ-BRECON23).
Methods: A total of 87 patients were included in this single-center study between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2021; 43 underwent OPS (49.
Objective: Carbon monoxide poisoning is an important cause of morbidity and mortality all over the world. In our study, it was aimed to determine the clinical and laboratory parameters that may be effective in deciding the need for hyperbaric oxygen therapy in the management of cases.
Materials And Methods: From January 2012 to the end of December 2019, 83 patients who applied to a university hospital pediatric emergency department in İstanbul with the diagnosis of carbon monoxide poisoning were included.

Undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma (UPS), which was previously known as malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH), rarely presents in the abdomen, and sarcomatosis due to UPS has not yet been reported in the literature. Here, we present a 62-year-old man who had abdominal sarcomatosis due to UPS with a poor prognosis.

Objective: Recent literature suggests that tumor budding (TB) may have a significant clinical impact on colorectal cancers. Our study aims to reveal the effect of TB on the long-term outcomes of patients and to reveal whether there is a difference in tumor location and TB in colonic cancer.
Patients And Methods: A cohort of 100 patients with non-metastatic colon cancer was included in the study.
Purpose: To prospectively assess the rate of clot resolution from CT pulmonary angiography (CTPA) in patients with acute pulmonary embolism (PE).
Materials And Methods: This prospective cohort study included 290 patients (136 men, 154 women; mean age, 51.9 years) with acute PE.
Background: The aim was to evaluate the epidemiological, clinical, laboratory, and radiologic data of children with SARS-CoV-2 positivity by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) together with treatment strategies and clinical outcomes and to evaluate cases of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) in this population.
Methods: This was a multicenter retrospective observational cohort study performed in the pediatric emergency departments of 19 tertiary hospitals. From March 11, 2020, to May 31, 2021, children who were diagnosed with confirmed nasopharyngeal/tracheal specimen SARS-CoV-2 PCR positivity or positivity for serum-specific antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 were included.
Objective: To examine the immunoglobulin G-receptor-binding domain (IgG-RBD) response and changes in fibrinogen and D-dimer concentrations in individuals with a past coronavirus infection and followed by CoronaVac.
Methods: The study consisted of a total of 116 participants. Blood samples were drawn from subjects 21-25 days after they received first and second doses of CoronaVac as well as from individuals with a past infection.
We report, for the first time, a detailed crystallographic study of the supramolecular arrangement for a set of zinc(II) Schiff base complexes containing the ligand 2,6-bis((E)-((2-(dimethylamino)ethyl)imino)methyl)-4-R-phenol], where R=methyl/tert-butyl/chloro. The supramolecular study acts as a pre-screening tool for selecting the compartmental ligand R of the Schiff base for effective binding with a targeted protein, bovine serum albumin (BSA). The most stable hexagonal arrangement of the complex [Zn-Me] (R=Me) stabilises the ligand with the highest FMO energy gap (ΔE=4.
