Despite suggestions in guidelines, the institutional behavior may change based on institutional experience and established habits. This so-called "deviation" may alter management strategies in favorable or unfavorable ways.

Global Research Trends in Physical Activity Barriers: A Study on Men.

In this study, bibliometric properties of studies on physical activity barriers in men were analyzed using the Biblioshiny interface in R programming language. According to the results of the analysis, a total of 867 articles were published in 397 journals between 1992 and 2024. A great majority of the related studies were produced by American authors and institutions in the USA.

Therapeutic implications of etiology-specific diagnosis of early-onset developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (EO-DEEs): A nationwide Turkish cohort study.

Objective: To evaluate the etiology-specific diagnosis of early-onset developmental epileptic encephalopathies (EO-DEEs) in a nationwide Turkish cohort to determine the implications for therapeutic management.

Methods: The cohort comprised 1450 patients who underwent EO-DEE. The utility of genetic testing was assessed with respect to the initial phases of next generation sequencing (NGS) (2005-2013) and the current NGS era (2014-2022).

Utility of Optical Genome Mapping in Repeat Disorders.

Genomic repeat sequences are patterns of nucleic acids that exist in multiple copies throughout the genome. More than 60 Mendelian disorders are caused by the expansion or contraction of these repeats. Various specific methods for determining tandem repeat variations have been developed.

Purpose: Klebsiella pneumoniae is a significant cause of healthcare-associated infections, resulting in high morbidity and mortality rates due to limited treatment options. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the treatment outcomes and the safety of Ceftazidime-avibactam in infections caused by extensively drug-resistant or pandrug-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae in pediatric patients.

Methods: This study included pediatric patients who received ceftazidime-avibactam treatment due to extensively drug-resistant or pandrug-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae infections, monitored in the pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, and pediatric wards of Cukurova University Faculty of Medicine between 2022 and 2023.

SMA (spinal muscular atrophy) is an autosomal recessive neuromuscular disease that causes muscle atrophy and weakness. SMA is diagnosed by a homozygous deletion in exon 7 of the gene. However, mutations in genes located in the SMA region, such as , and may also contribute to the severity of the disease.

Brain Diffusion Changes in Perinatal Asphyxia Cases.

Background: Prolonged perinatal asphyxia (PA) may cause hypoxic-ischemic damage to the brain. The aim of this study was to investigate the brain diffusion changes of patients with PA and examine the relationship with brain damage.

Methods: This retrospective study included 55 patients diagnosed with PA, separated into mild and severe PA groups.

Evaluation of different color measurement methods for determining tooth color.

Aim: The purpose of this study is to develop software at a low cost that enables the detection of tooth colors by capturing photographs using various devices, and to compare its effectiveness with existing expensive methods.

Material And Methods: A total of 60 anterior central incisor teeth from 30 individuals were included in the study. The CIELAB values (L,a,b) of each tooth were measured using a spectrophotometer, which is considered the gold standard.

Clinical and demographic characteristics of late-onset multiple sclerosis: LOMS-TR study.

Objectives: Multiple sclerosis (MS), which is known as a young-adult age disease, is called late-onset MS (LOMS) when it occurs at the age of 50 and older. In our study, we aimed to analyse the clinical and demographic characteristics, comorbidities, diagnostic and treatment challenges and prognosis of LOMS.

Methods: In a retrospective analysis of 136 patients diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) after the age of 50, based on the 2017 McDonald criteria, and who were under observation in eight distinct MS centers across Turkey; demographic information, clinical characteristics of the disease, oligoclonal band (OCB) status, initial and current Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) values, administered treatments, and the existence of spinal lesions on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were investigated.

The First Hundred Years of the Scientific Field of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation in the Republic of Turkey.

As a scientific field, anaesthesiology and reanimation, with their significant place in the medical structure, have been practised since the beginning of surgical procedures. Today anaesthesiology and reanimation speciality cover more complex techniques and areas than alleviating patients' pain during surgery. In the first hundred years since the proclamation of the Turkish Republic, the path covered in our scientific field is to pave the way for the next hundred years.

This paper focuses on the role of n-3 fatty acids as a nutrient crucial to the proper functioning of reproductive and immune systems in cattle. Emphasis was placed on the connection between maternal and offspring immunity. The summarized results confirm the importance and beneficial effect of n-3 family fatty acids on ruminant organisms.

Relationship between cervical spinal cord morphometry and clinical disability in patients with multiple sclerosis.

Objective: Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that commonly affects the cervical part of the spinal cord. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between cervical spinal cord atrophy and clinical disability in multiple sclerosis patients.

Methods: We examined the cervical spinal cord area measurements of 64 multiple sclerosis patients and 64 healthy control groups over the images obtained by a T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging device.

In this study, we evaluated the biomass yield, physico-chemical characteristics, nutrient composition, and feeding value of oat (Avena sativa) grown without irrigation ensiled with or without supplemental inoculant following different wilting durations. Oat forage at early dough stage (79 days after sowing) were harvested to assess the biomass yield, nutrient contents, and mineral composition. Oats were ensiled with or without the addition of inoculant and different wilting durations (0, 24, and 48 h) in 3 × 2 factorial arrangement.

Evaluation of oral health-related quality of life following dental rehabilitation under general anesthesia in Turkish children with early childhood caries.

Background: Early childhood caries (ECC) is one of the most common dental problems, which often require dental rehabilitation with general anesthesia (DRGA).

Aim: To assess the short- and long-term effects of DRGA on children and their families' oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) in preschool children, the incidence of complications on the first day, and the factors affecting them and parental satisfaction.

Design: A total of 150 children treated for ECC under DRGA were included in the study.
