Purpose: Manual small-incision cataract surgery (MSICS) has a major role in tackling cataract blindness in our country. Methods: In this prospective interventional study being performed in a tertiary healthcare hospital, a total of 660 eyes were divided into two groups. Group 1 included 330 eyes from healthy subjects and group 2 included 330 eyes from well-controlled diabetic subjects with no diabetic retinopathy planned for phacoemulsification with foldable IOL implantation by the same surgeon under similar settings.
Purpose: To correlate the severity of meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) with the serum lipoprotein levels.
Methods: The study was conducted as a prospective observational study over a period of 18 months. Ninety patients diagnosed with MGD were enrolled after they gave their informed consent according to the inclusion-exclusion criteria.
We present a case of neuroretinitis as presenting and the only presentation of Lyme disease in a 25-year-old female who visited hilly areas in the Himalayas of North India. She presented with right eye sudden and painless blurring of vision. Her vision at presentation was 20/60.

Methods: A prospective study was done among a total of 158 infants (including 19 twin pairs), selected for ROP screening as per American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) criteria. Data collected was analysed to assess the changing ROP spectrum in comparison to year 2002 ROP screening data from the authors' centre, and the variations among siblings of multiple gestation.

Objectives: To investigate the haemostatic parameters and to assesss their relationship with microvascular complications in type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Materials And Methods: Coagulation and fibrinolysis parameters were measured in 60 type 2 diabetic patients (M:F 1:1) with (n=40) and without (n=20) diabetic microvascular complications and in 30 nondiabetic healthy subjects (M:F 1:1).
Results: The mean age of diabetic patients and healthy controls was 56.
