The clinical picture, course and outcomes of tuberculous meningitis observed in the Maritime Territory over the past 15 years (n = 93) have been studied. The findings have revealed a rise in the incidence of the disease in the recent years, an increase in the number of patients of the most productive age (30-50 years), rarity of the registration of the active tuberculous process, mild course and prolongation of individual phases of the disease, the specificity of its classical manifestations being unchanged. The authors have established a reduction in the deposit in the CSF of a thin fibrin film and the absence of synchronism in the decrease of sugar and chloride concentrations.
