This study demonstrates the feasibility of performing a Transvaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (vNOTES) hysterectomy on a patient with a complex surgical history, including two renal transplants. The case involves a 42-year-old female presenting with persistent menorrhagia and hypermenorrhea, unresponsive to standard treatments, and diagnosed with adenomyosis and CIN3. A detailed, step-by-step procedure of the vNOTES technique is provided, marking the first video article to document vNOTES hysterectomy in such a medical context.

Fertility, pregnancy outcomes, and disease activity during pregnancy in patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis: a descriptive study.

To investigate the fertility status, pregnancy outcomes, and disease activity during and after pregnancy in patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) currently being followed up at an adult rheumatology clinic. This study included 141 adult patients diagnosed with according to the International League of Associations for Rheumatology criteria, who are now monitored at an adult rheumatology clinic. Data on demographics, disease characteristics, medication history, fertility status, and pregnancy outcomes were collected through medical records and patient interviews.

The Investigation of the Relationship Between Mortality Awareness and Spiritual Care Competencies of Nurses Working in Intensive Care and Palliative Care Units.

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between mortality awareness and spiritual care competence among nurses working in intensive care and palliative care units. This cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational study included a sample of 163 nurses who had worked for at least one month in intensive care and palliative care units in two hospitals. Data were collected between 02/01/2024 and 28/06/2024.

Background: The aim of the research is to shed light on the experiences of a group of nursing students enrolled in a yoga elective course who practiced yoga regularly for 14 weeks, regarding yoga and the phenomenon of doing yoga, with a qualitative approach.

Methods: This qualitative study was conducted at a public university in Izmir, Turkey. The study sample consisted of 61 students enrolled in the 1st-year yoga course at the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences.

Rare diagnosis of an Epstein-Barr virus-positive extracavitary/solid variant of primary effusion lymphoma by duodenal endoscopic biopsy in a human immunodeficiency virus-seronegative and immunocompetent patient: A case report.

Long-term intensive care unit outbreak of carbapenemase-producing organisms associated with contaminated sink drains.

Background: Between 2018 and 2022, a Belgian tertiary care hospital faced a growing issue with acquiring carbapenemase-producing organisms (CPO), mainly VIM-producing P. aeruginosa (PA-VIM) and NDM-producing Enterobacterales (CPE-NDM) among hospitalized patients in the adult intensive care unit (ICU).

Prediction error and event segmentation both play important roles in supporting the genesis of meaningful mnemonic representations of events. We review theoretical contributions discussing the relationship between prediction error and event segmentation, as well as literature on episodic memory related to prediction error and event segmentation.

The role of IgG4-positive plasma cell population in classic Hodgkin lymphoma.

The effect of IgG4, which constitutes the least of the IgG subclasses, on the pathogenesis and prognosis of lymphoma or solid tumors is one of the research topics of interest in recent years. The role of IgG4, which has been reported to suppress antitumor immunity, in classic Hodgkin's lymphoma (cHL), which is recognized by its pathognomonic microenvironment, is not yet clearly known. The aim of this study was to determine IgG4-positive plasma cell density in the cHL microenvironment and to compare it with histopathological and clinical parameters.

A case report of Tangier disease presents with acute sensorimotor polyneuropathy and its treatment approach.

Polyneuropathy is a frequently encountered clinical presentation where peripheral nerves are affected due to the same cause and physiopathological processes. We report a case of acute sensorimotor polyneuropathy in a patient with Tangier disease (TD) who was treated with miglustat which is a glycosphingolipid synthesis inhibitor. TD is a very rare genetic disorder caused by mutations in the ATP-binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1) gene which encodes the cholesterol efflux regulatory protein.

Evaluation of Patients with COVID-19 Followed Up in Intensive Care Units in the Second Year of the Pandemic: A Multicenter Point Prevalence Study.

Optimization and characterization of biodegradable films from chicken gelatin crosslinked with oxidized phenolic compounds.

Chicken gelatin derived from poultry by-product was combined with caffeic acid (CA), rutin (RUT) and glycerol (GLY) to obtain biodegradable films. Optimum cross-linking conditions were investigated using Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The results showed that cross-linking led to lower L* value and higher b*, and the higher opacity values in the films.

Methods: This retrospective and quasi-experimental study included total 203 third-grade nursing students who took the Obstetrics and Gynecological Health Nursing course face-to-face and online in the fall semester of the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. Active Learning Methods Questionnaire and the Scale Attitude Towards Learning (SATL) were used.
