Due to growing concern about chemicals and their impact on the environment, cleaner reaction conditions are needed to be incorporated into chemical synthetic procedures. Recently, the use of heteropolyacid catalysts, mainly reuseable solid acid catalysts, has gained a leading role in organic synthesis due to their environmental and economic considerations and industrial utilization. The high catalytic activity, moisture sensitivity, reusability and inexpensive makes solid supported reagents attractive substituents to conventional Lewis acids.

Recently, endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) have also garnered interest in its prediction. However a handful of studies, exploring this concept, have come out with disputed results.

To date, development attempts have relied on large datasets, achieving reasonable results when comparing normal to active inflammation, but not when generating subscores for the Mayo Endoscopic Score (MES) or ulcerative colitis endoscopic index of severity (UCEIS). Using a multi-task learning framework, with frame-by-frame analysis, we developed a machine-learning algorithm (MLA) for UCEIS trained on just 38,124 frames (73 patients with biopsy-proven ulcerative colitis).

Background: OSA is a highly prevalent sleep disorder, associated with a risk of hypertension, cardiovascular events, daytime sleepiness, poor cognitive function, and sudden death during sleep.
Background: Topical glycopyrronium tosylate (GT) is an anticholinergic medication for treatment of axillary hyperhidrosis. Pharmacologic mydriasis and anisocoria from topical GT has been reported and may be underrecognized. This study aims to clinically characterize patients presenting with pharmacologic mydriasis from exposure to this medication.

There are many methods to purify the air but using carbon nanotubes (CNTs) as adsorbents remains one of the most efficient and reliable methods, due to their high maximum adsorption capacity which renders them extremely useful for removing pollutants from the air. The different types of CNTs, their synthesis, functionalization, purification, functioning, and advantages over conventional filters are deliberated along with diverse types of CNTs like single-walled (SWCNTs), multiwalled (MWCNTs), and others, which can be functionalized and deployed for the removal of harmful gases like oxides of nitrogen and sulphur, and ozone, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), among others.

Methods: We conducted a multi-center, retrospective analysis in 23 Indian transplant centres between June 26, 2020 to December 1, 2021 on KT recipients who recovered after COVID-19 infections. We analyzed clinical and biopsy-confirmed acute rejection (AR) incidence and used cox-proportional modeling to estimate multivariate-adjusted hazard ratios (HR) for predictors of AR.
Purpose: Patients with resected, local-regionally advanced, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) have a one-year disease-free survival (DFS) rate of 65%-69% despite adjuvant (chemo)radiotherapy. Neoadjuvant PD-1 immune-checkpoint blockade (ICB) has demonstrated clinical activity, but biomarkers of response and effect on survival remain unclear.
Patients And Methods: Eligible patients had resectable squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity, larynx, hypopharynx, or oropharynx (p16-negative) and clinical stage T3-T4 and/or two or more nodal metastases or clinical extracapsular nodal extension (ENE).
Hyperekplexia, an underdiagnosed motor paroxysm of infancy, mimics epilepsy closely. It is hallmarked by episodic and excessive startle response, brief episodes of intense, generalized hypertonia, or stiffness in response to unexpected auditory and/or tactile stimuli right from birth. Though a seemingly benign entity with an excellent prognosis, hyperekplexia has been occasionally associated with recurrent apneas, feeding difficulties, and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).

This study assesses the impact of diabetes exposure in utero on the abundance of circulating adhesion molecules in cord serum and soluble adhesion molecules released from human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) exposed to high glucose concentrations.
Methods And Results: Women with and without diabetes were recruited.
Purpose: To describe a case of a penetrating ocular trauma and plastic intraocular foreign body (IOFB), undetected on preoperative imaging.
Observations: We present the findings of a 40-year-old male who sustained an open globe injury and IOFB composed of plastic following crossbow-related trauma. Preoperative detection of the IOFB was unsuccessful on clinical exam, computed tomography (CT) and ultrasonography.
A patient with Parkinson's disease (PD) who was examined as a candidate for DBS was initially rejected due to extensive brain calcifications. Upon second opinion and planning of trajectories she underwent successful surgery. Genetic analyses identified a mutation in SLC20A2, a gene known to cause brain calcifications, but no mutation known to cause PD was found.

Methods: Hospital records of children with NDSE (July, 2015 through December, 2016) were analyzed. Children were categorized as: Encephalopathy with electrical status epilepticus in sleep (ESES) if sleep EEG Spike-wave-Index (SWI) was ≥50% and sleep-induced epileptiform activity (SIEA)-related cognitive dysfunction if SWI ≥25% but <50%.
The impact of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) on arterial stiffness is less studied. We aimed to investigate the prevalence and covariates of increased pulse pressure (PP), a surrogate marker of arterial stiffness, in the entire study population as well as in separate analyses in normotensive and hypertensive patients. Further, we also explored the impact of smoking on brachial BP in hypertensive patients.

Background: Down syndrome which is also known as "trisomy 21" is the commonest chromosomal defect that has been associated with intellectual disability or impairment. Clinically, it has been characterized by the generalized presence of hypotonic musculature, variety of neurobiological alterations, numerous respiratory diseases, and significantly higher risk of developing infection along with various dental abnormalities and oro-facial dysmorphological changes. Periodontal diseases are the most prominent oral health issue among individuals diagnosed with Down Syndrome.

Renal angiomyolipoma (rAML) occurs rarely sporadically but is commonly encountered in patients with tuberous sclerosis complex and lymphangioleiomyomatosis. rAML is a rare entity, not seen regularly in daily practice; however, is commonly encountered and diagnosed by clinicians who approach and treat kidney masses. Basic knowledge of this entity is necessary to recognize that despite being benign, these tumors can rarely cause deadly complications such as hemorrhage or severe renal dysfunction or may have malignant components associated with them.

However, a growing body of evidence suggests that as awareness grows the public will oppose these practices, which could compromise the dairy industry's social license. Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) may affect the abundance of exosomal miRNAs in HM, providing a mechanism for growth and adiposity variation in infants of mothers with GDM in early life.
