Quinolone antibiotics are known for their antibacterial activity by inhibiting the enzyme DNA gyrase. Inspired by their mechanism, new compounds combining 1,4-dihydropyrimidine, a quinolone isostere, with pyridine/pyrimidine rings were synthesized. These derivatives showed antibacterial effects, likely through DNA gyrase inhibition, as supported by molecular docking and dynamics simulations.

These conditions are characterized by an exaggerated inflammatory response in the bones without any apparent etiology. Inflammatory bone lesions associated with AIBDs exhibit chronic inflammation, are typically culture-negative, and do not exhibit discernible microorganisms on histopathological examination.

Methods: A total of 82 sexually active patients aged 18 years or over who had undergone microscopic subinguinal varicocelectomy with a clinical diagnosis of varicocele in 14 urology clinics between October 2021 and March 2023 with primary infertility were evaluated prospectively Patients were evaluated using the Turkish validated form of the 'Premature Ejaculation Diagnostic Tool' (PEDT) scale. A PEDT score of 11 or above was taken to indicate the presence of PE.
Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) is the most prevalent monogenic autoinflammatory disorder, characterized by recurrent fever and serositis. It primarily affects individuals of Mediterranean descent, including Arabs, Armenians, Turks, and Jews. The Mediterranean fever (MEFV) gene, responsible for FMF, was discovered in 1997.

Resmetirom, a novel liver-directed selective thyroid hormone receptor-β (THR-β) agonist, has shown promise in addressing both hepatic and systemic lipid metabolism. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the efficacy of resmetirom in improving cholesterol levels in NASH patients.

Materials And Methods: Data of 3093 men who underwent TESE for NOA were included in this study. Demographic data, testis volumes, presence of varicocele, length of infertility, history of previous surgeries, history of genitourinary infections, smoking status, chromosome abnormalities, presence of Y-chromosome microdeletion, family history of infertility, testis biopsy, surgical data, sperm retrieval rate, final pathology obtained at TESE, follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, and testosterone levels were recorded.
Background: The ongoing debate regarding the need for screening Cushing's syndrome (CS) in patients with obesity continues. The objectives of this study were to establish the prevalence of CS in the population with obesity and assess how metabolic health status influences cortisol levels following the 1 mg dexamethasone suppression test (DST).
Methods: This retrospective study included 1008 patients with obesity who underwent screening with the 1 mg DST for CS.
Objective: Increased frequency of autoimmune thyroid disease, particularly Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) was reported several studies in the literature, in individuals with childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus (cSLE). Our study aimed to investigate the prevalence and contributing factors of thyroid dysfunction and HT among cSLE patients.
Methods: Thyroid function tests were obtained cross-sectionally from cSLE patients.
Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) is the most common monogenic autoinflammatory disease worldwide. In this retrospective cohort study, we aimed to assess the effects of various MEFV genotypes on the clinical characteristics of the patients, with a special focus on the joint involvement. In total, 782 patients with FMF were categorized into 3 groups according to the MEFV mutation; Group 1: Patients homozygous for M694V; Group 2: Patients carrying other pathogenic MEFV variants in exon 10 in homozygous or compound heterozygous states; and Group 3: FMF patients with other variants or without mutations.

This paper reports on Pakistan's approach to assessing the applicability of global cost-effectiveness evidence to country context as part of a HBP design process.
Methods: A seven-step process was developed and implemented with Disease Control Priority 3 (DCP3) project partners to assess the applicability of global incremental cost-effectiveness ratios (ICERs) to Pakistan.
Background: To demonstrate the long-term safety profile of canakinumab over a nine-year period by documenting adverse events in patients with various pediatric rheumatic diseases.
Research Design And Methods: This retrospective observational study was conducted at the Pediatric Rheumatology Department of Istanbul University Cerrahpasa between 2015 and 2023. The analysis concerned individuals who had been administered canakinumab treatment for at least six months.
Background And Purpose: Parents' views of nursing may play a key role in what kind of image their children hold of it. This study had three objectives. First, it investigated the image of nursing in the eyes of Generation Alpha and their parents.

Therefore, we aimed to examine the medical conditions of first-degree relatives (FDRs) of our pediatric patients with FMF in the present study.
Methods: Chronic diseases of FDRs of pediatric 449 FMF, 147 juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) patients and 93 healthy controls (HC) were questioned during their routine clinical visits for 9 consecutive months.
In this study, a series of new benzimidazole-thiadiazole hybrids were synthesized, and the synthesized compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activities against eight species of pathogenic bacteria and three fungal species. Azithromycin, voriconazole, and fluconazole were used as reference drugs in the mtt assay. Among them, compounds and showed potent antifungal activity against with a MIC of 3.

Age, gender, age at disease onset, lesion locations, presence or absence of a preliminary diagnosis of psoriasis, and histopathological findings of 307 patients were recorded. The sections prepared from the patients' paraffin blocks were reexamined microscopically, the severity of the observed findings was graded, and various histopathological features were recorded.
