Cold isostatic pressing, gel casting, and protein coagulation are the most common techniques to produce green bodies prior to computer numerical control (CNC)-based machining for the near-net-scale shaping of ceramics. These methods typically involve various additives and entail several steps to create a green body that is capable of withstanding machining forces. Here, utilizing a single additive, we first introduced a facile benchtop method to generate self-standing, malleable doughs of alumina in under 2 min.

The experiments were conducted during the winter season of 2022-2023 (November to February) at the University of the Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan. The study involved four wheat varieties: Akbar-2019, Galaxy-2013, Ujala-16, and Chakwal-86.

These features make it a significant target for understanding virus-host interactions and developing vaccines to combat COVID-19. Recent structural studies provide valuable insights into the conformational dynamics and membrane topology of the SARS-CoV-2 env protein, shedding light on its functional mechanisms.

Objective: This study aimed to assess the reliability of different soft tissue reference lines used to evaluate anteroposterior lip position and the position of incisors and malocclusion and compare it with those assessed via hard tissue angles (LSMx and LIMd) and determine if they are true indicators of underlying protrusion of incisors and malocclusion.
Method: A total of 120 pre-treatment lateral cephalometric radiographs were selected where patients were 18-30 years old, diagnosed as Skeletal Class I, II (Division 1 and 2), and III malocclusion.
Background: To investigate how successfully the classification of patients with and without dental anomalies was achieved through four experiments involving different dental anomalies.
Methods: Lateral cephalometric radiographs (LCRs) from 526 individuals aged between 14 and 22 years were included. Four experiments involving different dental anomalies were created.
Copper-based quaternary chalcogenides are considered as intriguing material systems in terms of their remarkable optoelectronic and thermoelectric properties. Here we investigated the light interaction and electronic transport properties of novel KMCuS (M = Th, Sm) materials. Advanced computations based on density functional theory were used for these calculations.

In this study, it was examined the occurrence, fate and environmental risks of favipiravir which is used for COVID-19 treatment in two wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) with different treatment processes in Istanbul, Turkey. Favipiravir was measured in WWTPs influent samples, effluent samples and sludge samples with maximum concentrations of 97 μg/L, 64.

In the search of novel photocatalysts to increase the effect of visible light in photocatalysis, g-CN (CN) has become a shining star. Rare earth metals have been used as dopant material to reinforce the photocatalytic activity of CN due to their unique electron configuration recently. In this present study, the pure and different amounts of Ho-doped g-CN (HoCN) photocatalysts were successfully synthesized using urea as a precursor by the one-pot method.

We thus examined growth, water relations, ion homeostasis, photosynthesis, oxidative stress mitigation and proteomic responses of an obligate halophyte to increasing salinity under semi-hydroponic culture. Most biomass parameters increased under moderate (300 mmol L of NaCl) salinity, while high (900 mmol L of NaCl) salinity caused some reduction in biomass parameters.

Natural disasters, such as earthquakes, frequently result in mood disorders among affected individuals. It is established that neuropathic pain arising from traumatic neuropathies is also linked to mood disorders. This study investigates the influence of neuropathic pain on the development of mood disorders in earthquake survivors with peripheral nerve injuries, following the earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023.
