Changes in mechanosensitive ion channels following radiation have seldom been linked to therapeutic sensitivity or specific factors involved in antitumor immunity. Here, in this study, we found that the mechanical force sensor, Piezo2, was significantly upregulated in tumor cells after radiation, and Piezo2 knockout in tumor cells enhanced tumor growth suppression by radiotherapy. Specifically, loss of Piezo2 in tumor cells induced their IL-15 expression via unleashing JAK2/STAT1/IRF-1 axis after radiation.

Methods: Seventy patients with GERD were randomly divided into an acupuncture group (35 cases, 2 cases dropped out) and a medication group (35 cases, 1 case dropped out). The patients in the acupuncture group received acupuncture at bilateral Shenmen (HT 7), Neiguan (PC 6), Burong (ST 19), Tianshu (ST 25), Zusanli (ST 36), Gongsun (SP 4), and Zhongwan (CV 12), with needles retained for 30 min, every other day, three times a week.
Purpose: A novel formulation for Ulcerative Colitis (UC) treatment by rectal administration with budesonide liposomes (Bud ) and thermosensitive gel (Gel) was developed for future clinical use. To evaluate the anti-inflammatory activity and colon mucosal protection of this novel formulation compared with the other three in mice.
Methods: Bud was prepared by reverse evaporation method and then dispersed in solutions with PL407 and PL188 by a cold method.
Cystic echinococcosis (CE) is a zoonotic parasitic disease with a cosmopolitan distribution, and it is urgent to develop novel anti-helminthic agents. The intraperitoneal (ip) infection mice model was widely used to evaluate the efficacy of potential anti-CE compounds. Still, it's time-consuming, and the inability to achieve real-time monitoring hinders the development of potential anti-CE compounds.

Electroacupuncture (EA) has been shown to be effective at improving hyperandrogenism and follicular arrest in PCOS; however, its mechanism of action remains to be deciphered.
Objective: In this study, we investigated whether EA improved follicular development in an obese rat model of PCOS and regulated the expression of adiponectin, AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC).
Objective: To observe the effect of herb-partitioned moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in patients with symptom pattern of kidney deficiency and phlegm-dampness.
Methods: Totally 62 PCOS patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into intervention group and control group. In the intervention group, acupoints were subjected to (43 ± 1) ℃ herb-partitioned moxibustion and electroacupuncture treatment.
Background: Pathophysiological vascular remodeling in response to disturbed flow with low and oscillatory shear stress (OSS) plays important roles in atherosclerosis progression. Pomegranate extraction (PE) was reported having anti-atherogenic effects. However, whether it can exert a beneficial effect against disturbed flow-induced pathophysiological vascular remodeling to inhibit atherosclerosis remains unclear.

Among the seven mTOR inhibitors evaluated, tacrolimus (TAC) showed significant dose- and time-dependent killing of cultured protoscoleces and cysts in vitro. Notably, the oral administration of TAC (4 mg/kg/day) to CE mice model highly effectively reduced both the weight and number of parasitic cysts.

Ginsenosides and alkaloids are considered to be the main active components of Shen-Fu decoction. However, no analytical methods have been used to quantitatively analyse both components in Shen-Fu decoction simultaneously.

Objective: To develop and validate a rapid method incorporating reverse-phase ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with evaporative light scattering detection (UPLC-ELSD) for the simultaneous determination of the five triterpenoid saponins kudinoside L (1), kudinoside C (2), kudinoside A(3), kudinoside F(4) and kudinoside D(5) in several species of the large-leaved Kudingcha from the genus Ilex and 'Yerba Mate' (Ilex paraguariensis).
Methodology: The five compounds were separated using a water-acetonitrile mobile phase with a Waters Acquity BEH C(18)-column (100 × 2.
Objective: To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) of "Zusanli" (ST 36) and "Sanyinjiao" (SP 6) on collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) and its underlying mechanism in regulating the secretory function of knee-joint synovial cells in CIA rats.
Methods: Thirty-six Wistar rats were equally randomized into control, model and EA groups. CIA model (rheumatoid arthritis) was duplicated by intradermal injection of Bovine type II collagen into the back of the anesthetized rats.
Objective: To observe the effect of transcutaneous electric acupoint stimulation (TEAS) on plasma superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in rats with sports fatigue so as to explore its mechanisms in resisting exercise-induced fatigue.
Methods: Twenty-seven male adult SD rats were randomly divided into control group (n 9), model group (n=9) and TEAS group (n=9). Sports fatigue model was established by using treadmill method, i.
Five new monoterpene glycosides, rhodiolosides A-E (1-5), were isolated from the roots of Rhodiola rosea (Crassulaceae). Their structures were elucidated as (2E,6E,4R)-4,8-dihydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadienyl beta-D-glucopyranoside (1), (2E,4R)-4-hydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadienyl alpha-D-glucopyranosyl(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2), (2E,4R)-4-hydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadienyl beta-D-glucopyranosyl(1-->3)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (3), (2E,4R)-4,7-dihydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-2-octenyl beta-D-glucopyranoside (4), and (2E)-7-hydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-2-octenyl alpha-L-arabinopyranosyl(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (5), on the basis of various spectroscopic analyses and chemical degradation.
