Background: A variety of solid tumours, including oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), can cause coagulation abnormalities, and this phenomenon is known as tumour-associated hypercoagulation. We aimed to explore the preoperative thromboelastography (TEG) parameter profiles of OSCC patients, and to investigate their trends in relation to tumour stage progression, and to evaluate their value for predicting cervical lymph node metastasis.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to thoroughly analyze postoperative consonant errors by tongue cancer (TC) patients with speech disorders and also to investigate the correlation between the pathological factors and the speech performance using our Consonant-based Articulation Assessment Battery (CAAB).

Background: Cancer cells frequently evolve necroptotic resistance to overcome various survival stress during tumorigenesis. However, we have previously showed that necroptosis is widespread in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and contributes to tumor progression and poor survival via DAMPs-induced migration and invasiveness in peri-necroptotic tumor cells. Enhancer of Zeste Homolog 1 (EZH1) and Enhancer of Zeste Homolog 2 (EZH2) are the key components of polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2); however, the roles of these proteins in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) have yet to be elucidated. Cancer metastasis that is resistant to conventional therapies has become a major cause of patient death. Recent reports indicate that the neutrophil extracellular trap (NET) is closely associated with cancer distant metastases, and the cell-free DNA of NETs has been identified as the ligand of the transmembrane protein CCDC25 of cancer cells, acting as a chemokine to induce cancer cell migration to distant organs.
