Despite progress towards malaria reduction in Peru, measuring exposure in low transmission areas is crucial for achieving elimination. This study focuses on two very low transmission areas in Loreto (Peruvian Amazon) and aims to determine the relationship between malaria exposure and proximity to health facilities. Individual data was collected from 38 villages in Indiana and Belen, including geo-referenced households and blood samples for microscopy, PCR and serological analysis.

Limited information is available regarding its effect on heterologous boosting. We aim to evaluate the immunogenicity and reactogenicity of a third booster dose of BNT162b2 following a double BBIBP-CorV regime.

Gravity retraction is an underutilized adjunct in neurosurgery. Gravity is gentler than retractor blades; it does not cause brain edema or injury, and it tends to open natural subarachnoidal plans to deep lesions.1-3 A good example of this is the supracerebellar infratrochlear approach4-7 in semisitting position for resection to a midbrain cavernous malformation.

Methods: Between June 2005 and December 2016, 12 patients with foramen magnum meningiomas underwent microsurgical resection. Patients' age and gender, tumor localization (anterior or lateral), symptoms, approach, and postoperative results were analyzed.
Five polymorphic microsatellite loci were identified in the black scallop Mimachlamys varia after construction of a genomic library enriched for (GT)n. To examine the transmission pattern of microsatellite alleles, several families were created and genotypes scored for three loci. The expected Mendelian ratios were found in 12 of 14 segregations examined.

Seasonal variations in lipid classes and fatty acid composition of triacylglycerols and phospholipids in the digestive gland of Pecten maximus were studied over a period of 16 months. Acylglycerols predominated (19-77% of total lipids), in accordance with the role of the digestive gland as an organ for lipid storage in scallops. Seasonal variations were mainly seen in the acylglycerol content, while phospholipids (2.
