Background: To compare, through a systematic literature review, the cost-effectiveness ratio of home care compared to hospital care for following up patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Methods: This review was registered in PROSPERO, and the bibliographic search was performed in six primary databases [MedLine (via PubMed), Scopus, LILACS, SciELO, Web of Science, and Embase], two dedicated databases for economic studies (NHS Economic Evaluation Database (NHS EED) and Cost-Effectiveness Analysis (CEA) Registry), and two databases for partially searching the "gray literature" (DansEasy and ProQuest). This review only included studies that compared home and hospital care for patients diagnosed with COPD, regardless of publication year or language.
Purpose: To assess vertical and horizontal fit, screw removal torque, and stress analysis (considered biomechanical aspects) of full-arch implant frameworks manufactured in Ti-6Al-4V through milling, and additive manufacturing Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) and Electron Beam Melting (EBM), and the effect of the thermo-mechanical treatment Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) as a post-treatment after manufacturing.
Material And Methods: Maxillary full-arch implant frameworks were made by milling, DMLS, and EBM. The biomechanical assessments were screw removal torque, strain-gauge analyses, and vertical and horizontal marginal fits.
Limited data are available in Mexico on the prevalence of alcohol and drug use and the possible differences in their effects on types of road traffic injury (RTI), such as those involving pedestrians, drivers or passengers of motorcycles or other motor vehicles, and the association between substance use and driving behaviors, for preventive purposes. The sample comprised 433 adult RTI patients, admitted to the emergency department (ED) of a public hospital in Mexico City (January to April 2022). Breath Alcohol Concentration (BAC) was measured using a breath tester, and six types of drugs (amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabis, cocaine, and methamphetamine) were assessed using a saliva screen test.

"Sober up before you drive" may prevent road traffic injury (RTI) caused by alcohol consumption. The aim of this study was to analyze the risk of RTI on an hourly basis (1-6 h) after the last drink and the determinants of this risk.

Introduction: Complex diagnostic profiles (i.e., clusters of comorbid disorders) may be present in adolescence with long-lasting effects later in life.

However, a consensus on whether TCS favors a healthy peri-implant environment is limited.

While there seems to be a positive relationship between periodontitis and AD, concerns have been raised about the role of confounding.
Aim: To systematically review the literature to assess confounding and their level of heterogeneity in the association between periodontitis and AD.
Objective: To evaluate the association between the prevalence of pulp stones (PS) in permanent teeth and calcified atherosclerotic plaques (CAP).
Methods: An electronic search was performed in 10 databases to locate observational studies that investigated the association between PS in permanent teeth and CAP, published until March 2022. Two reviewers performed the search, selection and extraction of data from eligible studies.
We seek to evaluate whether Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD) among university students in Mexico during their first year at university predicts a long list of mental disorders a year later, controlling for baseline mental health disorders as well as demographics. This is a prospective cohort study with a one-year follow-up period conducted during the 2018-2019 academic year and followed up during the 2019-2020 academic year at six Mexican universities. Participants were first-year university students (n = 1741) who reported symptoms compatible with an IGD diagnosis at entry (baseline).

Materials And Methods: This is an observational cross-sectional study derived from the ongoing international, prospective multicentric study "The COVID-19 HEalth caRe wOrk-Ers Study" (HEROES). A convenience sample of 2 127 HCW was obtained from Chiapas and Jalisco between May 19th and July 24th 2020.
Background And Objectives: Internet gaming disorder (IGD) is associated with health, social, and academic problems but whether these are consequences of the disorder rather than precursors or correlates is unclear. We aimed to evaluate whether IGD in the 1st year of university predicts health, academic and social problems 1 year later, controlling for baseline health, academic and social problems, demographics, and mental health symptoms.
Methods: In a prospective cohort study, 1741 university students completed both a baseline online survey in their 1st year and a follow-up survey 1 year later.
Bacterkground: There is debate on whether cannabis affects road traffic injuries (RTIs) separately from the effects of alcohol. Our goals are to report the possible increase in risk of an RTI among alcohol and cannabis users by type of exposure (biological, self-reported and combined) and the possible interaction of alcohol and cannabis in patients with an RTI in an emergency department in Mexico City.
Methods: A case-crossover study with 433 cases of RTI (as a pedestrian, driver or passenger) during the period January-April 2022.
Background: Mental disorders are one of the main causes of years lived with disability, although there is a lack of recent estimates of their magnitude.
Objective: To report the trends of mental disorders prevalence, years lived with disability and years of healthy life lost by sex, age and state in Mexico.
Material And Methods: The Global Burden of Disease database for Mexico was used.
Statement Of Problem: Implant-retained overdentures are a recognized treatment option. However, a comprehensive assessment of all articles on implant-retained overdentures to identify publication standards such as mean citation and the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) impact factor is lacking.
Purpose: The purpose of this bibliometric assessment was to evaluate the association of mean citation and JCR impact factor with bibliometric parameters in articles on implant-retained overdentures.
