Introduction: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is one of the main risk factors for cardiovascular diseases and is associated with both morbidity and mortality. OSA has also been linked to arrhythmias and sudden death.
Objective: To assess whether OSA increases the risk of sudden death in the non-cardiac population.
Objectives: This study aimed to describe an operative technique for vaginal hysterectomy (VH) and assess the costs, perioperative, and oncological outcomes for this procedure when used in the treatment of patients with low-risk endometrial cancer (LREC).
Methods: A retrospective analysis of medical records was conducted on patients who underwent VH to treat precursor and invasive endometrial lesions between April 2019 and November 2021 at a single center in São Paulo, Brazil.
Results: Thirty-four patients met the inclusion criteria.
The Program of Education through Work for Health (PET-Health), with a focus on interprofessionality, is one of the actions of the Plan for the Strengthening of Interprofessional Education in Brazil. This research aimed to systematically analyze the characteristics of the proposals submitted to the public notice of the PET-Health Interprofessionality specifically in relation to the theoretical-conceptual and methodological alignment of interprofessional education (IPE). The study is a qualitative document content analysis.

This study aimed to investigate TAO's role during ruptured aneurysm clipping as an independent prognostic factor on short- and long-term outcomes.
Methods: This prospective cohort included 180 patients with ruptured intracranial aneurysms and an indication of microsurgical treatment.
Objective: to report on the experience of the elaboration process of a service organization protocol for coping with public undergraduate students' psychological distress in the countryside of São Paulo.
Method: experience report on protocol production, an action research product, carried out according to the health care and service organization protocol model, made possible by remote meetings with 33 professionals linked to the management and services of the university's health and social assistance departments.
Results: collective protocol production provided an opportunity for an institutional agreement on educational, therapeutic and support actions, to be developed in groups or individually with students, with provision for permanent education with civil servants.
Aim: To evaluate the association between global cerebral edema (GCE) after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) and its impact on functional outcome evaluated by the modified Rankin scale (mRS).
Material And Methods: This is a prospective cohort study with patients who were admitted to the hospital due to SAH. During the period from January 2018 to November 2019, 107 patients with intracranial aneurysms were enrolled.

Background: Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) prognosis remains poor. Vasospasm mechanism might be associated with inflammation. Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) have been studied as inflammation markers and prognostic predictors.

Methods: a quantitative study, collected between October and December 2020 through a sociodemographic questionnaire and Mental Health Service Burden Assessment Scale, in four services in a municipality in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, with 108 workers. Descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression of ordinary least squares were performed, in search of predictors for variation in the scale score.
In the fly brain, neurodegeneration is detected by the presence of vacuoles using conventional hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) or phalloidin staining, which are lengthy and expensive processes. Here, we present a faster and cost-effective 2-day protocol to visualize vacuoles in a fly model of Alzheimer disease. We describe eosin staining in the whole-brain mount, followed by confocal microscopy and image analysis with an open source Fiji plugin.

Methods: Google Trends was searched from January 2004 to June 2021, using the entry: ["rinite" (rhinitis) + "dor de cabeça" (headache)" + "Alzheimer" + "enxaqueca" (migraine)].
Purpose: To analyze the role of serum creatinine levels as a biomarker of intracranial aneurysm outcomes.
Methods: This is a prospective analysis of outcomes of patients with intracranial aneurysm. One hundred forty-seven patients with serum creatinine at admission and 6 months follow up were included.
Background: Temporary arterial occlusion (TAO) is a technique widely used in cerebrovascular surgery. However, few studies have evaluated the independent long-term effects of TAO or given detailed information about the complications during in-hospital stay.
Objective: This study aims to investigate the independent impact of TAO during unruptured intracranial aneurysm surgery on short and long-term outcomes.
This protocol describes how to image time and spatially resolved time lapses of Drosophila air sac primordium (ASP) cytonemes in cultures of wing imaginal discs. It describes how to manually measure the length of cytonemes using custom-made FIJI/ImageJ tools, and to analyze data using R/R-Studios pipeline. It can also be used for studies of cell division, organelle localization, and protein trafficking as well as other cellular materials that can be fluorescently tagged and imaged with minimal phototoxicity.

This integrative literature review aims to analyze researches that approach the insertion of using MP in PHC. PICO strategy was used as a guideline in search of evidence, reuniting 18 articles published between January 2015 and August 2020, in the Virtual Health Library and PubMed databases.

The expression pattern and protein tissue localization of proteoglycans of the syndecan family (SDC 1-4) and syntenin-1 (SDCBP) were determined in normal and prostatic tumor tissue from two genetically engineered mouse models and human prostate tumors. Studies were validated using SDC 1-4 and SDCBP mRNA levels and patient survival data from The Cancer Genome Atlas and CamCAP databases.

Method: This is a qualitative research conducted with 10 people who were homeless on Avenida Paulista in January 2019. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, and analysis of the findings was made using hermeneutics-dialectics.
Dysregulation of collagen production and secretion contributes to aging and tissue fibrosis of major organs. How procollagen proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) route as specialized cargos for secretion remains to be fully elucidated. Here, we report that TMEM39, an ER-localized transmembrane protein, regulates production and secretory cargo trafficking of procollagen.

Deciphering the mechanisms involved in this communication is crucial to find new therapeutic strategies. HS sequesters a number of secreted growth factors and cytokines, controlling their bioavailability to the target cells, suggesting that HS is an important regulator of the extracellular matrix (ECM) and a key player in the cell-cell and cell-microenvironment communication during prostate morphogenesis and physiology.
