Background And Objectives: To evaluate the oncology outcomes in cervical cancer patients aged 25 years or younger and compare them with those in older patients.

Preoperative assessment with ultrasound may also be useful to predict malignancy.

  • The patient underwent antibiotic treatment to stabilize her condition but was not suitable for radical nephrectomy due to her other kidney’s poor function; she eventually required outpatient hemodialysis which managed her symptoms.
  • The patient passed away 7.7 months after being admitted and 1 month after starting treatment, highlighting the need for tailored treatment for cancer patients and the necessity of further research to understand and prevent this condition.

Objective: To evaluate the histologic response rate of high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) of the cervix after topical application of 5% imiquimod cream.

Methods: In this phase II trial, women with cervical HSIL (cervical intraepithelial neoplasia [CIN] 2-3) were randomly assigned to 250 mg of 5% imiquimod cream applied to the cervix weekly for 12 weeks, followed by loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) without preceding treatment. The sample size was calculated based on the HSIL regression rates previously reported by Grimm et al.
