Improving the activity of ferrate is one of the main research focus in environmental field. Here, we demonstrate a novel copper oxide (CuO)-Ferrate(VI) system wherein CuO plays a key role in activating Fe(VI) to effectively eliminate phenolic contaminants. The dominant reactive species were determined to be Cu(III) and O, confirmed by in situ Raman spectroscopy, quenching experiments, and EPR tests.

Here, we demonstrate that RIG-I is upregulated in tumour-infiltrating CD8 T cells, where it functions as an intracellular checkpoint to negatively regulate CD8 T-cell function and limit antitumour immunity. Mechanistically, the upregulation of RIG-I in CD8 T cells is induced by activated T cells, and directly inhibits the AKT/glycolysis signalling pathway.

We have investigated oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) induced senescence in hematopoietic stem cells (HCs). Mouse Sca-1+ HCs were separated and purified using the magnetic activated cell sorting technique. Ox-LDL induced significant senescence in HCs measured by SA-β-Gal staining, and reduced CFU-Mix colony-forming capacity, arresting cells at G0/G1 phase.
