Background: In resectable gastric/gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma, microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) confers improved survival, but limited benefit from chemotherapy. Immunotherapy may eliminate the need for chemotherapy or surgery.
Patients And Methods: INFINITY is a multicenter, multicohort phase II trial (NCT04817826) investigating in cohort 1 the activity and safety of tremelimumab + durvalumab (T300/D) as neoadjuvant treatment of mismatch repair deficient/MSI-H, resectable gastric/gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma.
This study aimed to investigate the antibacterial mechanism of atmospheric cold plasma (ACP) against Pseudomonas fluorescens and Pseudomonas putida and its preservation effect on red shrimp paste. A reactive species (RS) assay showed that O, HO, and total nitric oxide were generated after ACP treatment, which possessed great potential for antibacterial and food preservation. In vitro antibacterial results showed that excess RS inhibited bacterial activity through cell membrane damage.

In the absence of standard therapeutic algorithms, current guidelines suggest that the treatment of UPO-NENs should be based on tumor clinical-pathological characteristics, disease burden, and patient conditions. Chemotherapy represents the backbone for the treatment of high-grade poorly differentiated UPO-NENs, usually providing deep but short-lasting responses.

Objective.
Colorectal cancer is the third-most-diagnosed cancer in males and in females, representing 8% of estimated new cases, and the third cause of cancer-related death in both sexes, accounting for 9% of cancer deaths in men and 8% in women. About 20% of patients diagnosed with CRC present metastatic disease. Although lung metachronous or synchronous metastatic spread without other involved sites has been reported in only a small proportion of patients, considering that this tumor is frequently diagnosed, the clinical approach to CRC pulmonary metastases represents a major issue for thoracic surgeons and CRC oncologists.

The consumption of mozzarella can contribute to the intake of important elements in the diet, such as calcium and magnesium, along with others. The contents of some toxic and trace elements were low and have not exceeded the permitted limit.

We introduce apertured THz microjets in this effort to resolve the fundamental limits of spatial resolution and spectral bandwidth. The THz microjets are formed as intense foci at the rear of engineered (microcomposite) spheres and are coupled through subwavelength (circular) apertures.

Methods: A search of electronic databases such as PubMed and Scopus was carried out to evaluate the performance of substances from the flavonoid class at different stages of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Results: The search strategy yielded 382 articles after the exclusion of duplicates.
The Commission Regulation (EU) No. 2021/382 (European Commission, 2021), amending the Regulation (EC) No. 852/2004 (European Commission, 2004), introduced the obligation for companies to establish and maintain a food safety culture (FSC).

Due to the lack of effective drugs to treat severe cases of Covid-19, the main protease of SARS-CoV-2 (M) becomes an attractive target in the research for new antivirals since this enzyme is crucial for virus replication and does not have homologs in humans.

Schistosomiasis, one of the most widespread neglected tropical diseases, affects more than 200 million people worldwide. Histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors are prominent epigenetic drugs that are being investigated in the treatment of several diseases, including cancers and parasitic diseases.

However, the spatio-temporal simulation of multi-cellular systems provides a powerful instrument to address this issue. In particular, efficient algorithmic frameworks are needed to overcome the harsh trade-off between scalability and expressivity, so to allow one to simulate both realistic cancer evolution scenarios and the related sequencing experiments, which can then be used to benchmark downstream bioinformatics methods.

Volatile organic compounds significantly affect the aroma of food. In this work, electronic nose and headspace gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry were applied to analyze the flavor differences in fish oil durations.

Parasites acquire most nutrients for their development and sustainment within the definitive host either by ingestion into the gut or across the body surface. Over the years, the best conditions for long-term maintenance of parasites in vitro have been thoroughly established.

Introduction: Erdheim-Chester Disease (ECD) is a rare form of histiocytosis, characterized by xanthogranulomatous infiltration of multiple organs by lipid-laden histiocytes. It is considered a myeloid inflammatory clonal disorder that mainly affects men with a mean age of 55 years.
Methods: We present the case of a 65-year-old man who consulted our Endocrinology Unit because of polyuria and polydipsia of 4 months of evolution, diagnosing central diabetes insipidus associated with pituitary infiltration.
There is a lack of consensus on the diagnostic thresholds that could improve the detection accuracy of bipolar mixed episodes in clinical settings. Some studies have shown that voice features could be reliable biomarkers of manic and depressive episodes compared to euthymic states, but none thus far have investigated whether they could aid the distinction between mixed and non-mixed acute bipolar episodes. Here we investigated whether vocal features acquired via verbal fluency tasks could accurately classify mixed states in bipolar disorder using machine learning methods.

The high levels of the interaction of the insect sector with the SDGs is clearly illustrated inside the review, analysing all of the SDGs that can have direct and indirect effects on insects. Mapping the interactions between the SDGs goals and insect sector offers a starting point, from which it could be possible to define practical next steps for better insect policy.

Recently, there has been a shift in investigating and redefining these diseases by integrating behavioral observations and multilevel neurobiological measures. Accordingly, endophenotype-oriented studies are needed to develop new therapeutic strategies, with the idea of targeting shared symptoms instead of one defined disease.

In this regard the gestational period is known to present an intrinsic vulnerability to environmental insults and thus stressful events during pregnancy can lead to severe consequences on the offspring's brain development with long-term repercussions throughout adulthood. On this basis, we investigated the long-lasting impact of prenatal stress exposure on the susceptibility to the experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a well-established murine model of multiple sclerosis.
