Niche of main woody plant populations of Pterocarya stenoptera community in riparian zone of Lijiang River, China.

To understand the niche characteristics of main woody species in Pterocarya stenoptera community, we investigated P. stenoptera communities in riparian zone of Lijiang River, China. The niche characteristics of main species in tree layers and shrub layers were quantified with the indices of Levins niche breadth, Shannon niche breadth, Schoener niche similarities and Pianka niche overlap.
