This pilot study evaluated the utility of Fink's Taxonomy of Significant Learning (FTSL), an evidence-based instructional strategy, to create long-lasting changes in students' well-being during a pharmacy general education course.
Participants And Methods: Using a mixed methods survey design, we assessed 84 undergraduate students' changes in self-reported well-being at three different time points (pre-intervention, post-intervention, and 6-month follow-up) through five variables (safe medication practices, general healthcare behaviors, healthcare self-efficacy, safe medication storage, and safe medication disposal).

Purpose: To perform a living systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials comparing the effectiveness of coronary CT angiography (CCTA) and standard of care (SOC) in the evaluation of acute chest pain (ACP).
Materials And Methods: Multiple electronic databases were systematically searched, with the most recent search conducted on October 31, 2022. Studies were stratified into two groups according to the pretest probability for acute coronary syndrome (group 1 with predominantly low-to-intermediate risk vs group 2 with high risk).
Background And Objective: Several incidental cardiovascular findings are present in a routine chest computed tomography (CT) scan, many of which do not make it to the final radiology report. However, these findings have important clinical implications, particularly providing prognosis and risk-stratification for future cardiovascular events. Heteroaromatic stacking interactions are important in drug binding, supramolecular chemistry, and materials science, making protein-ligand model systems of these interactions of considerable interest. Here we studied 30 congeneric ligands that each present a distinct heteroarene for stacking between tyrosine residues at the dimer interface of procaspase-6. Complex X-ray crystal structures of 10 analogs showed that stacking geometries were well conserved, while high-accuracy computations showed that heteroarene stacking energy was well correlated with predicted overall ligand binding energies.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease that results in dysfunction of the CF transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) protein, which is a chloride and bicarbonate channel expressed in the apical portion of epithelial cells of various organs. Dysfunction of that protein results in diverse clinical manifestations, primarily involving the respiratory and gastrointestinal systems, impairing quality of life and reducing life expectancy.
