Background: In triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) patients receiving adjuvant capecitabine, the impact of HER2 expression on survival outcomes is unclear.

Methods:  Between June 2017 and December 2023, 112 patients with TNBC who received adjuvant capecitabine due to residual masses after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) in three hospitals were identified. HER2 is analyzed through immunohistochemistry (IHC) and/or in situ hybridization in the core biopsy and/or post-surgical histopathologies.

In this study, activated halloysite nanotube (HNT) and phenyltriethoxysilane (PTES) were utilized for the first time to fabricate modified HNT materials and coat them onto melamine sponge (MS) substrate in the supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO) atmosphere. The successful coating of MS substrate was confirmed using SEM, EDS, XPS, and contact angle measurements. The drainage technique applied in the CO medium achieved the uniform coating of both the inner and outer surfaces of the MS.

The imperfect narrow escape problem considers the mean first passage time (MFPT) of a Brownian particle through one of several small, partially reactive traps on an otherwise reflecting boundary within a confining domain. Mathematically, this problem is equivalent to Poisson's equation with mixed Neumann-Robin boundary conditions. Here, we obtain this MFPT in general three-dimensional domains by using strong localized perturbation theory in the small trap limit.

Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of hydrocolloid patch use and facial massage on nasal septum injury and stress in premature infants receiving noninvasive mechanical ventilation (NIMV) support.

Methods: The study was conducted as a single-blind, randomised controlled experimental study with 108 premature infants between 28 and 34 gestation weeks (Hydrocolloid patch group: 36, facial massage group: 36, control group: 36) who were hospitalised in the 3rd level neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) between February 2023 and February 2024, received NIMV support and met the inclusion criteria. Objective(s): Eccentric Chin Closure (ECC) exercise is a model designed to strengthen the suprahyoid muscles, aligned with the principles of eccentric exercise and the characteristics of these muscles. This study aimed to investigate the effects of the ECC exercise on submental muscle activation, muscle strength, dysphagia limit, perceived exertion, and pain, in comparison to the Shaker and Chin-Tuck Against Resistance (CTAR) exercises.

Background: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy with ultrasonic dissection presents a compelling alternative to conventional electrocautery. The evidence for elective cholecystectomy supports the adoption of ultrasonic dissection, citing advantages such as reduced operating time, diminished bleeding, shorter hospital stays and decreased postoperative pain and nausea.
