Evaluation of Risk Factors in Patients With Chronic Daily Headache and Medication-Overuse Headache.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to compare the quality of life, daily physical activity level and perception of illness in patients with chronic daily headache, medication-overuse headache, episodic migraine, and episodic tension-type headache across disease subgroups with respect to possible risk factors such as alcohol/caffeine/nicotine use, eating attitude, which may trigger chronic headache and medication overuse.

Materials And Methods: VAS, International Physical Activity Questionnaire (Short) forms, SF-36 Quality of Life Scale, Illness Perception Questionnaire, Beck Anxiety Inventory, Beck Depression Inventory, Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire, Eating Attitude Test, SCID-I were applied to the patients.

Results: Disease type mean score and psychological causes mean score were found to be the highest in the chronic tension type headache (CTTH) group among tension type headache (TTH) subgroups.

Objectives: The objective of this study is to determine the optimal interval between repeat thyroid fine-needle aspiration (FNA) biopsies in children and adolescents and to evaluate whether this has any impact on the final pathological diagnosis.

Methods: The sample of this retrospective single-center study consisted of 99 patients who had thyroid nodules and underwent thyroid ultrasonography (USG) and FNA biopsy between 2013 and 2023. The interval between FNA biopsies as well as biopsy and surgical cytology results were recorded for each patient.

Introduction: This study was designed to explore the relationship between retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness and cognition in Idiopathic Parkinson's disease (IPD) patients without visual symptoms or diagnosis of dementia.

Methods: Groups of patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease and healthy controls were compared ophthalmologically using optical coherence tomography (OCT) and cognitively through neuropsychological tests.

Results: The findings highlighted a pronounced RNFL thinning, especially in the right nasal inferior quadrant of IPD patients compared to the control group.

Purpose: To assess the choroidal vascularity index (CVI) in individuals who have recovered from moderate pneumonia caused by COVID-19, using enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography (EDI-OCT).

Methods: This study included 43 patients who had recovered from SARS-CoV-2 infection with mild pneumonia (Group 1-COVID group), as well as 45 healthy individuals (Group 2- healthy control group). The study comprised COVID-19 patients who fully recovered from COVID-19 pneumonia.

This Letter presents a search for highly ionizing magnetic monopoles in 262  μb^{-1} of ultraperipheral Pb+Pb collision data at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.36  TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. A new methodology that exploits the properties of clusters of hits reconstructed in the innermost silicon detector layers is introduced to study highly ionizing particles in heavy-ion data.
