Background: Clozapine has demonstrated efficacy in treating treatment-resistant schizophrenia; however, it has a wide range of side effects. Sialorrhea is a common side effect of clozapine that causes the patient to withdraw from social life. This review aims to evaluate and summarize the prevalence, mechanism, risk factors, and management of clozapine-associated sialorrhea.

A Clinical Evaluation of Cardiovascular Emergencies: A Comparison of Responses from ChatGPT, Emergency Physicians, and Cardiologists.

Artificial intelligence (AI) tools, like ChatGPT, are gaining attention for their potential in supporting clinical decisions. This study evaluates the performance of ChatGPT-4o in acute cardiological cases compared to cardiologists and emergency physicians. Twenty acute cardiological scenarios were used to compare the responses of ChatGPT-4o, cardiologists, and emergency physicians in terms of accuracy, completeness, and response time.

Glycosylation analysis of transcription factor TFIIB using bioinformatics and experimental methods.

Transcription is a fundamental process involving the interaction of RNA polymerase II and related transcription factors. TFIIB is a transcription factor that plays a significant role in the formation and stability of the preinitiation complex in a precise orientation, as well as in the control of initiation and pre-elongation steps. At the initiation step, TFIIB interacts with three structures: the end of the TATA-binding protein, a GC-rich DNA sequence followed by the TATA box, and the C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II.

The household waste (HW) disposal and recycling have become a significant challenge due to increasing quantities of generated household wastes and increased levels of urbanization. Selecting locations/sites for building new HW recycling plant comprises numerous sustainability dimensions, thus, this work aims to develop new decision-making model for evaluating and prioritizing the HW recycling plant locations. This study aimed to identify a new parameter using MFC SNAPs for the early electrophysiological diagnosis of length-dependent axonal polyneuropathy (LDAP) associated with uremic neuropathy.

Methods: Patients with chronic renal failure who were referred to the electrodiagnostic laboratory due to symptoms suggesting polyneuropathy were included.

Objective: In this study, we aimed to obtain real-life data on the use of antimyeloma agents, which significantly increase overall survival (OS) in multiple myeloma (MM) patients, in primary plasma cell leukemia (pPCL) patients with poor prognosis.

Materials And Methods: Data from 53 patients who were diagnosed with pPCL between 2011 and 2020 and who used at least one proteasome inhibitor (PI) and/or immunomodulatory (IMID) agent were analyzed retrospectively. Depending on the year of the pPCL diagnosis, 20% leukocytes or ≥2x10/L plasma cells in the peripheral blood was used as a diagnostic criterion.

This review examines the factors influencing exosomes noted in human milk and the impacts of exosomes on infant health.

Objective: Despite advances, myelomeningocele remains a major cause of mortality and disability. This study aims to analyze factors influencing mortality and suggest ways to reduce it.

Methods: We reviewed 173 patients who underwent surgery for myelomeningocele from January 2010 to December 2021.

Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of isotonic and hypotonic intravenous fluids in maintenance fluid therapy for term infants.

Methods: This was a multi-centre, prospective, observational study conducted in 21 participating centres from December 30, 2020, to June 30, 2023. The study included term newborns requiring parenteral fluid therapy for maintenance (NCT04781361).

Background Dysfunction in both afferent sensory and efferent motor components of the median nerve may contribute to the manifestation of the symptom of dropping objects (DO) in carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). The objective of this study was to compare the clinical and electrophysiological characteristics of CTS patients with dropping objects (wDO) and those without dropping objects (w/oDO). The study evaluated the correlation between DO symptoms and median partial conduction block, as well as the reduction in median motor conduction velocity at the wrist.

Forty male albino rats were divided into four groups: control, cisplatin (CIS), cisplatin+nobiletin (CIS+NOB), and nobiletin+cisplatin (NOB+CIS). At the end of the study, the rats were subjected to biochemical, histological and immunohistochemical analyzes.

Thiram Determination in Milk Samples by Surface Plasmon Resonance Based on Molecularly Imprinted Polymers and Sulphur-Doped Titanium Dioxide.

In this work, a new surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor based on sulphur-doped titanium dioxide (S-TiO) nanostructures and molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was presented for thiram (THI) determination in milk samples. Firstly, the S-TiO nanomaterial with a high product yield was prepared by using a facile sol-gel hydrolysis technique with a high product yield. After that, UV polymerization was carried out for the preparation of the THI-imprinted SPR chip based on S-TiO using a mixture including ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as the cross-linker, N,N'-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as the initiator, and methacryloylamidoglutamicacid (MAGA) as the monomer.

In recent years, the research potential in utilizing biochars as adsorbents in adsorption processes has grown due to their eco-friendly and economical nature. Nitric acid washing and pretreatment with Coriolus versicolor can break down the lignocellulosic structure in cotton stalk waste, facilitating the subsequent impregnation of Mg and Fe metal oxides.
