Polyps are one of the early stages of colon cancer. The detection of polyps by segmentation and their removal by surgical intervention is of great importance for making treatment decisions. Although the detection of polyps through colonoscopy images can lead to multiple expert needs and time losses, it can also include human error.

We retrospectively examined the effect of IVIG administration time on measles development in measles-contact infants younger than 6 months of age.
Methodology: Contact tracing of measles cases was performed by the Istanbul Public Health Directorate (IPHD) between August 24, 2012, and June 16, 2013.
Introduction: ATP1A2 and CACNA1A genes encode proteins forming transmembrane channels, Na+/K+/ATPase transporter and voltage-gated calcium channel, respectively. Pathogenic variants in these genes are associated with hemiplegic migraines, movement disorders and developmental and epileptic encephalopathy.
Case Report: We report a child presenting epileptic encephalopathy with cognitive and behavioral troubles.
Background: Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, a pathogen that colonizes medical equipment and causes nosocomial infections due to its ability to form biofilms, has high mortality rates. This study investigated the risk factors related to mortality in patients who were diagnosed with S. maltophilia bacteremia.

AIMS: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of adding Mulligan's mobilization with movement to the conventional exercise program for those who underwent open reduction and volar plate application due to distal radius fracture.
Methods: This randomized controlled, single-blind study was conducted with 53 patients who had been operated on for distal radius fracture.

The negative effects of global warming also directly affect aquatic populations. Consequences such as evaporation due to chronic temperature increase, increase in salinity, and increase in stock density per unit volume are potential stress factors. While creating the trial design, an attempt was made to simulate the effects of global warming, especially on species living in salty and brackish water biotopes.

This retrospective study included 243 patients from 15 different centres in Turkey. The endpoints of the study were OS, PFS and safety and side effect outcomes.

Materials And Methods: Patients aged 50 and above with presbycusis (pure-tone average [PTA] ≥20dB) were categorized as mild (PTA 20-34dB), moderate (PTA 35-49dB), or severe (PTA ≥50dB). Fractional anisotropy (FA), mean diffusivity (MD), axial diffusivity (AD), and radial diffusivity (RD) were measured in 16 white matter regions.
Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) is a rare condition following SARS-CoV-2 infection associated with intestinal manifestations. Genetic predisposition, including inborn errors of the OAS-RNAseL pathway, has been reported. We sequenced 154 MIS-C patients and utilized a novel statistical framework of gene burden analysis, "burdenMC," which identified an enrichment for rare predicted-deleterious variants in BTNL8 (OR = 4.

The aims of this study are to (1) measure Indoor Radon Concentrations (IRCs) in 117 buildings in İzmir, Turkey, (2) investigate and model the relationship between the IRCs and Geological Units (GUs) and Active Faults (AFs), and (3) compare the IRC values with the European Indoor Radon Reference Level (EIRRL) (200 Bq/m³) to identify areas that pose a potential health risk for lung cancer due to elevated Indoor Radon Levels (IRLs). The IRCs were measured using Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors (SSNTDs) in 117 buildings.

State-of-the-art basecallers use complex deep learning models to achieve high basecalling accuracy. This makes basecalling computationally inefficient and memory-hungry, bottlenecking the entire genome analysis pipeline.

Our study aimed to understand the sociodemographic, clinical, and laboratory characteristics as well as diagnostic and treatment modalities of adult patients with EPTB. This is a multicentric retrospective study that covers patients with EPTB cases followed up from January 2015 to December 2022 among tuberculosis (TB) dispensaries and Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology clinics of 15 hospitals located in various regions of Turkey.

Patients And Methods: A multicenter cross-sectional study involving 1,134 PsA patients from 25 referral centers across seven regions was conducted. Demographic and clinical characteristics, comorbidities, joint involvement, extra-articular manifestations, and disease activity measures were evaluated across regions.
Background And Aim: Vaccination programs become increasingly crucial during migratory movements driven by conflict and other disruptions. This study aims to determine the prevalence of childhood vaccination hesitancy among Syrian parents under temporary protection and identify areas for targeted interventions.
Method: A total of 227 Syrian parents attending three Immigrant Health Centers in Sultangazi were assessed using the Arabic version of the Parent Attitude about Childhood Vaccines (PACV) survey, conducted between October and December 2023.

Humanitarian crises often require urgent medical care to people of concern. Such medical aid includes assessing and treating acute medical needs and ongoing chronic health conditions. Among the people of concern there are children, who are often the most vulnerable population in humanitarian contexts because they often lack the experience, independence, and cognitive and verbal skills to deal with the ordeals they are facing.

In the past few decades, the incidence of IFI has dramatically increased. Nevertheless, the management of IFI has become more complicated owing to changes in the epidemiology of fungal diseases and therapeutic regimens.

Herein, endoscopic images are meticulously evaluated by experts, and sometimes even by different disciplines, to identify tissue types. It is believed that the time spent by experts can be utilized for patient treatment with the creation of a computer-aided decision support system.

Background: Brucellosis is one of the most common zoonotic infections. Although culture is the gold standard diagnostic method, bacterial growth in blood cultures may not always occur due to various factors. We aimed to investigate demographic, clinical, and laboratory findings that may have predictive significance for bacteremia in brucellosis.
