Introduction: Revision total hip arthroplasty (rTHA) is increasingly common, with sepsis being a serious but rare complication. Sepsis rates in rTHA vary widely, and understanding risk factors is crucial for improving outcomes. This study aims to evaluate the incidence of sepsis following rTHA and identify preoperative and intraoperative predictors.

Consequently, plants must reconfigure their metabolic networks to sustain homeostasis while synthesizing compounds that mitigate stress. This aspect, with the current intensified climate impact results in more frequent abiotic stresses on a global scale.

Background And Objectives: A few studies have explored the impairment of pituitary gonadotroph and Leydig cell function in men who recently ceased illicit androgen use, as assessed by stimulation tests. However, the capacity of the pituitary-testis axis in previous users who discontinued androgen use years ago remains unclear. This study evaluated the pituitary-testis-axis capacity in previous illicit androgen users and nonusers.

Background: Traumatic injuries, particularly abdominal trauma, are a major cause of mortality worldwide. This study aimed to evaluate predictive factors for mortality and morbidity in abdominal trauma patients using simple, rapid, and accessible clinical and laboratory parameters, with a focus on developing scoring systems for emergency department decision-making.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted in a Level 1 Trauma Center between October 2022 and March 2024.
Introduction: Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a highly demanded procedure in orthopedic surgery, with over 1.3 million joint arthroplasties performed annually in the U.S.

Genome sequencing identified bi-allelic MRPL49 variants in individuals from nine unrelated families with presentations ranging from Perrault syndrome (primary ovarian insufficiency and sensorineural hearing loss) to severe childhood onset of leukodystrophy, learning disability, microcephaly, and retinal dystrophy. Complexome profiling of fibroblasts from affected individuals revealed reduced levels of the small mitochondrial ribosomal subunits and a more pronounced reduction of the large mitochondrial ribosomal subunits.

Alantolactone (ALA), a sesquiterpene lactone compound obtained from Inula helenium root, is known to have anticancer activity in many types of cancer. Paclitaxel (PAX) is an effective first-line chemotherapeutic drug and is widely used in the treatment of lung cancer. The in vitro anticancer efficacy of combined treatment of ALA with PAX was investigated in the A549 human lung cancer cell line.

Artificial intelligence (AI) in colonoscopy could reduce this variability and has shown to improve ADR. This study assessed the impact of AI on ADR among Danish endoscopists of varying experience levels.

Research Design And Methods: One hundred YouTube videos were evaluated using keywords such as "chalazion surgery" and "chalazion removal".
In this study, we proposed a novel scale abbreviation method based on sentence embeddings and compared it to two established automatic scale abbreviation techniques. Scale abbreviation methods typically rely on administering the full scale to a large representative sample, which is often impractical in certain settings. Our approach leverages the semantic similarity among the items to select abbreviated versions of scales without requiring response data, offering a practical alternative for scale development.

Participants were 190 voluntary earthquake survivors (n = 64, n = 123, three of them not specified) aged between 18 and 64 years. Data collection tools were the Multidimensional Mortality Awareness Measure, Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale, Basic Scale on Insomnia Complaints/Quality of Sleep, and sociodemographic information form.

Meat products are highly perishable and have a short shelf life. The effects of using a molecular hydrogen-producing magnesium-incorporated coating (H-P-Mg) on the color, pHysicochemical properties, deterioration, biogenic amines, free amino acid profile, and volatilomic profile of beef meatballs were evaluated. The meatballs were coated with different films as follows: group A (uncoated), group B (whey protein coating), group C (whey protein coating +7 % thyme extract), group D (whey protein coating +7 % thyme extract + Mg), and group E (whey protein coating + Mg).
