Posture-induced compressive peroneal neuropathy usually occurs after maintaining certain positions, such as prolonged squatting or habitual leg crossing. Peroneal neuropathy mainly presents with unilateral foot drop and variable sensory deficit. In this article, a case series of unilateral/bilateral peroneal nerve palsy secondary to prolonged squatting during peanut harvesting was reported.

Methods: Patients with fibromyalgia (n = 86) and age- and gender-matched controls (n = 41) were included in the study. Foot Posture Index (FPI), Beighton and Brighton criteria were used to evaluate static foot posture, joint hypermobility, and benign joint hypermobility syndrome (BJHS), respectively.
Introduction: Glucocorticoids (GCs) play a crucial role in the treatment of many rheumatic diseases regarding their anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects. Inappropriate use of GCs can exacerbate GC-related problems besides complex treatment regimens and miscellaneous well-established adverse events. Although several guidelines exist for managing these problems, there is lack of real-life studies evaluating the problems at the patient level.

Study Design: Single-centric retrospective study. Place and Duration of the Study: Department of General Surgery and Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Atilim University, Medicana International Ankara Hospital, Ankara, Turkiye, from March 2018 to 2022.
Objective: The glucocorticoid toxicity index (GTI) is developed to measure glucocorticoid (GC)-related morbidity over time. This study aimed to assess GC-toxicity in patients at a rheumatology outpatient clinic by using the GTI and to identify the factors that interfere with the GTI.
Methods: This prospective study included patients with inflammatory arthritis (IA), connective tissue disease, and vasculitis who were newly prescribed GC-treatment (GC-naive) or have been still on GC-treatment for ≤2 years (GC-experienced).
Background: Central sensitization has a major role in health-related parameters in musculoskeletal conditions. There is still a lack of understanding regarding the impact of central sensitization on the interpretation of disease activity and functional disability in primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS).
Methods: The Central Sensitization Inventory (CSI) was used to screen for central sensitization.
Background: The aim of this study was to examine pre-treatment and post-treatment hemogram-derived inflammatory biomarkers in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who received anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α treatment.
Material And Methods: The data of 1182 patients with RA were screened. Among them, 207 patients who met the eligibility criteria were included in the retrospective study.
The objective of this study is to explore the probiotic properties and optimal growth conditions of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum BG24. L. plantarum BG24 exhibited a remarkable ability to utilize lactose, and to grow under acidic conditions and in the presence of high levels of bile salts.

The aim was to identify the impact of central sensitization on quality of life and elucidate the risk factors for the development of central sensitization in patients receiving hemodialysis.
Methods: Central sensitization, quality of life, psychological well-being, and sleep were assessed by the Central Sensitization Inventory (CSI), abbreviated version of the World Health Organization Quality of Life Instrument (WHOQOL-BREF), Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), and Jenkins Sleep Evaluation Scale (JSS), respectively.
Introduction: Orexin is a neuropeptide neurotransmitter that regulates the sleep/wake cycle produced by the lateral hypothalamus neurons. Recent studies have shown the involvement of orexin system in epilepsy. Limited data is available about the possible role of orexins in the pathophysiology of absence seizures.

Modality-matched haptic perception was provided using a mechanotactile feedback system that can proportionally apply the gripping force through the use of a force controller. A vibrotactile feedback system was also employed to distinguish four discrete grip positions of the prosthetic hand.

Objective: This study aimed to examine the effect of radiological and clinical parameters on lumbar transforaminal epidural steroid injections (TFESI)/local anesthetic injection outcomes in patients with LDH.
To evaluate the relation of psychosocial parameters and type D personality with central sensitization in knee osteoarthritis (OA). The study included 126 patients with knee OA according to the American College of Rheumatology criteria. Sociodemographic variables (age, gender, education, marital status, annual income), alcohol consumption/smoking, body mass index, comorbidities, and duration of symptoms were noted.

Methods: Patients with ankylosing spondylitis and healthy volunteers were included in this cross-sectional study. Demographic data; disease activity measurements such as the Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index, the Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Score with C-reactive protein, and the Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Score with erythrocyte sedimentation rate; functional status such as the Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Functional Index; and general health status such as the Assessment of Spondyloarthritis International Society Health Index of the patients were recorded.
Aim: We aimed to compare 1-year postoperative results of patients with obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) who underwent laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy with transit bipartition (LSG-TB) and transit loop bipartition (LSG-TLB) and mini gastric bypass (MGB).
Patients And Methods: This is a retrospective comparison of 2 novel bariatric surgery techniques with MGB. Primary outcome measure of the study was a rate of T2DM remission.
Achievement of fit between the residual limb and prosthetic socket during socket manufacture is a priority for clinicians and is essential for safety. Clinicians have recognised the potential benefits of having a sensor system that can provide objective socket-limb interface pressure measurements during socket fitting, but the cost of existing systems makes current technology prohibitive. This study will report on the characterisation, validation and preliminary clinical implementation of a low cost, portable, wireless sensor system designed for use during socket manufacture.

This study proposes a unique, soft, monolithic haptic feedback device (SoHapS) that was directly manufactured using a low-cost and open-source fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printer by employing a combination of soft conductive and nonconductive thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) materials (NinjaTek, USA). SoHapS consists of a soft bellow actuator and a soft resistive force sensor, which are optimized using finite element modeling (FEM).
