Background: Restriction of shoulder movements in frozen shoulder may negatively affect individual's daily living activities. The effect of the virtual reality (VR)-based exercise program, which is an innovative application and has been used in the field of physiotherapy in recent years, is unknown on patients diagnosed with frozen shoulder.
Objective: This study was conducted to determine the effects of a VR-based exercise program provided to patients with frozen shoulder on their pain, joint motion, and quality of life.
Background: It has been reported that phenylalanine (Phe)-restricted diets may have negative effects on bone health in patients with classical phenylketonuria (cPKU). We aimed to evaluate bone mineral density (BMD) in adults with cPKU and determine the risk factors associated with low BMD.
Methods: Eighty adult patients with cPKU were examined, including 41 women and 39 men.
Introduction: The positive effect of varicocelectomy on sperm parameters (sperm morphology, concentration, motility) and fertility and pregnancy rates has been proven. Although various techniques have been defined for varicocele treatment, varicocelectomy with the pulling technique was first defined in 2017. The aim of this retrospective study is to compare the effectiveness and reliability of subinguinal microsurgical varicocelectomy with the "pulling" technique and conventional subinguinal varicocelectomy.

There is a clear lack of understanding of which factors contribute to delays in the disclosure of CSA. Thus, we aimed to examine the risk factors and sociodemographic variables that may inhibit CSA disclosures.

TKIs are usually well tolerated and used for a prolonged time, although experienced toxicity varies between patients. It is unclear whether patients report all (low grade) toxicities and how these impact their daily lives.

A questionnaire consisting of general information, eating motivation scale and Mediterranean diet adherence scale was applied to 400 individuals with diabetes. Height, weight, plasma glucose, total cholesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoprotein and high density lipoprotein values were measured.

One rare complication is the iatrogenic connection of the graft to the venous system, causing distal ischemia due to an arteriovenous shunt.

This study aims to analyze the factors related to the prescription of add-on LAMA in clinical practice for asthma patients, shedding light on physicians' preferences. This study included adult asthma patients on add-on LAMA and ICS/LABA monitored for at least one year in a national registry comprising 2053 asthmatics.

Introduction: Topical therapies are used in almost all patients with psoriasis. A novel fixed topical combination cream (GN-037) with a lower concentration (0.0356%) of clobetasol 17-propionate (CP) was developed together with urea, salicylic acid, and retinoic acid to provide a better benefit-risk ratio.

In this case report, a 44-year-old male sustained bilateral rupture while jumping during an amateur handball game. He was examined with X-ray and MRI and received surgery in both knees with suture of the tendon and reinforcement with metal cerclages.

Entering its twentieth year, the project remains highly active as new technologies and methodologies allow us to catalog the genome at ever-increasing granularity. In particular, long-read transcriptome sequencing enables us to identify large numbers of missing transcripts and to substantially improve existing models, and our long non-coding RNA catalogs have undergone a dramatic expansion and reconfiguration as a result.

Purpose: To identify anatomical risk factors contributing to the development of unilateral or bilateral OCL of the talus on the medial side, utilizing morphological parameters derived from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Material And Methods: In this retrospective study, 24 ankle MRI scans from 12 patients exhibiting bilateral OCLs of the talar dome on the medial side, 24 ankle MRIs from 24 patients with unilateral medial-sided OCLs, and 24 healthy controls matched for age, sex, and side within each group were analyzed.
Wastewater is a by-product of numerous industrial processes that have been demonstrated to have adverse effects on human and natural health due to the pollutants it contains. The pollutants in these substances are organic or inorganic molecules and heavy metal ions that significantly harm the environment and human health. A variety of techniques have been devised for the removal of heavy metal ions from wastewater.

Cryoballoon ablation (CA) is a safe and efficient method for pulmonary vein (PV) isolation in the treatment of AF. Achieving left atrial access may be difficult in patients with atrial septal occluders (ASO) or surgical repair of ASD.

Material And Methods: In this study, we measured the height and width of the cerebral hemisphere, cingulate sulcus, marginal sulcus, sulcus of the corpus callosum, calcarine sulcus, parieto-occipital sulcus, and central sulcus in each hemisphere. We examined these measures between genders and sides and assessed how these parameters developed over the course of gestational age (measured in months).
Purpose/objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate students' perceptions of the reinforcement of knowledge via innovative, case-based, hands-on learning regarding indirect prosthetic material choice.
Methods: Six different clinical cases that represented common prosthetics were used in this simulation training. In each case, clinical pictures were associated with three-dimensional (3D)-printed replicates of final restorations and PolyJet polychromatic models with the goal of enabling students to deliberate and exchange ideas in small groups.
Background/objectives: Eculizumab is a first-line treatment for atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS), and patients undergoing eculizumab therapy may become more susceptible to infection caused by (). While meningococcal vaccination is required for patients undergoing eculizumab therapy, there is limited knowledge about meningococcal carriage in children with aHUS. We aimed to evaluate (1) the prevalence of carriage, (2) serogroup distribution, and (3) the immunization status of children undergoing eculizumab treatment for aHUS.
