Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the protective effects of bosentan, a dual endothelin receptor antagonist, against skeletal muscle ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) in rats.

Methods: A total of 24 male Wistar Albino rats were divided into four groups: control (C, n=6), bosentan-treated (B, n=6), ischemia-reperfusion (IR, n=6), and bosentan plus ischemia-reperfusion (B+IR, n=6). Bosentan (10 mg/kg) was administered 30 minutes prior to reperfusion.

Background: A newly uncovered parvovirus, Chaphamaparvovirus, continues to be reported across various species. This study investigated the detection and genetic characterization of Chaphamaparvovirus galliform (GaChpV) in poultry, specifically broilers and turkeys, from various regions in Türkiye. To address this, comprehensive sampling and analysis were conducted to better understand the virus's distribution and impact in these avian populations.

Background: Bilateral inferior colliculus (IC) infarction is a rare condition that can lead to severe auditory deficits. Cerebellar arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) treated with endovascular embolization pose a risk for ischemic complications affecting the brainstem.

Observations: A 54-year-old male presented with intermittent headaches and imbalance, and, following a fall, a subarachnoid hemorrhage and cerebellar AVM were identified.

Poly(2-alkyl/aryl-2-oxazoline)-polyethylenimine (POZ-PEI) copolymers resulting from the partial hydrolysis of poly(2-alkyl/aryl-2-oxazoline)s (POZs) offer highly tunable properties. The amine groups on the PEI units are suitable for a range of postpolymerization modifications such as ring-opening of epoxides, acylation, and coupling. The reactivity of these amines can be controlled by altering the available structural variables of the copolymer.

This Letter presents a search for highly ionizing magnetic monopoles in 262  μb^{-1} of ultraperipheral Pb+Pb collision data at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.36  TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. A new methodology that exploits the properties of clusters of hits reconstructed in the innermost silicon detector layers is introduced to study highly ionizing particles in heavy-ion data.

Aims And Objectives: To investigate the effectiveness and acceptability, and thus practicability of a biopsychosocial-based exercise model in rheumatic diseases by a mixed method.

Method: This study is within the framework of mixed-method research that combines the strengths of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. For the quantitative part of the study, 81 patients were divided into two groups Bilişsel Egzersiz Terapi Yaklaşımı (BETY)- (Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach in English) exercise group (BETY Group-BG) and control group (CG).

Hypersensitivity reactions (HRs) to iron agents are increasing in parallel with increased use of iron preparations. We aimed to evaluate the clinical features and our previous desensitization protocol in patients with immediate hypersensitivity reactions (IHR) to iron agents. We screened the medical records of 96 patients with a history of IHRs to oral or intravenous (IV) iron agents.

Aims: Diabetes is a global health concern, and early identification of high-risk individuals is crucial for preventive interventions. Finnish Diabetes Risk Score (FINDRISC) is a widely accepted non-invasive tool that estimates the 10-year diabetes risk. This study aims to validate the FINDRISC in the Turkish population and develop a specific model using data from a nationwide cohort.

This study investigated the effects of combining sodium alginate (ALG) with various natural hydrocolloids on the microstructure and release behaviors of microbeads. The encapsulation solutions were prepared at a 1:1 (/) ratio with ALG as the control and carrageenan (CAR), locust bean gum (LBG), acacia gum (ACA), pectin (PEC), and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) as experimental groups. Each formulation contained 0.

The calcaneus plays a critical role in balance, locomotion, and muscle attachment, making it a key structure for biomechanical adaptations. This study examined interspecies differences between sheep and goats, as well as intraspecies variations among different sheep breeds, in calcaneus morphology. A total of 128 right calcanei were analyzed using 3D geometric morphometric methods to allow detailed assessments of calcaneus shape and size.

Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, with non-small cell lung carcinomas (NSCLCs) comprising the majority of cases. Among the common driver mutations, KRAS plays a critical role in guiding treatment strategies. This study evaluates the expression of programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) and hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF-1α) in -mutant NSCLCs and investigates their associations with clinicopathological findings.

In spoken languages, children acquire locative terms in a cross-linguistically stable order. Terms similar in meaning to in and on emerge earlier than those similar to front and behind, followed by left and right. This order has been attributed to the complexity of the relations expressed by different locative terms.

Intracranial tuberculoma represents one of the most severe complications of central nervous system tuberculosis (TB), with an incidence that is relatively low. In cases of intracranial tuberculoma, patients may develop drug toxicity and/or immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome (IRIS) while receiving anti-TB treatment. The current study presented the case of a seven-year-old female patient with intracranial tuberculoma who developed drug-induced hepatotoxicity and IRIS during the course of treatment.
