Tau pathology in sporadic Alzheimer's disease (AD) follows a distinct pattern, beginning in the entorhinal cortex (ERC) and spreading to interconnected brain regions. Early-stage tau pathology, characterized by soluble phosphorylated tau, is difficult to study in human brains post-mortem due to rapid dephosphorylation. Rhesus macaques, which naturally develop age-related tau pathology resembling human AD, provide an ideal model for investigating early tau etiology.

To enhance the compatibility and the adhesion at the interface, cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) was functionalized by 2,4-methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) and castor oil. Their results demonstrated that the Pickering emulsion method led to better dispersion of CNC in composites, resulting in improved tensile strength, flexibility, and thermal stability (compared with solvent-casted ones).

Methods: Patient data obtained from the Urologic Cancer Database-Bladder (UroCaD-B) of Turkish Uro-oncology Association (TUOA) were evaluated. Data from 292 patients from 12 centers with primary T1HG treated with TURBT and maintenance BCG between 2003 and 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.
Leptospirosis is a prevalent zoonotic disease in dogs. Although it is known that leptospires are primarily harboured in kidney tissues of dogs, it has been reported that they also infect testicular tissue. Leptospira interrogans causes various lesions in canine testicular tissues; however, the pathogenesis has not been clearly explained.

To increase the resilience of the forests against climate change, prescribing appropriate silvicultural treatments is of great importance. At this point, closely scrutinizing the simultaneous effects of competition and climate on the forests has become a very important issue.

This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of fish spine-derived xenogenic grafts in sinus augmentation surgery.
Material And Methods: In this study, a fish spine-derived xenogenic graft was produced for comparison with autogenous graft and bovine derived xenogenic grafts.

S-allyl cysteine (SAC) is a promising garlic-derived organosulfur compound with many positive effects in cell models and living systems. SAC has biological activity in various fields, enclosing healing in learning and memory disorders, neurotrophic effects, and antioxidant activity.

Methods: The study included 190 adult patients diagnosed with tularemia between November 2023 and June 2024.
Results: 67.
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers and a significant cause of death in females worldwide. For effective breast cancer treatment, using systems with a promising delivery of anticancer agents is an important strategy. Peptide 18 (P18), a tumor-homing peptide, shows a high binding affinity toward breast cancer cells.

Background: One of the most popular chemotherapy medications is doxorubicin (DOX), however it can have non-negligible damage. When the underlying mechanisms of damage are investigated, the most prominent pathways are oxidative stress, inflammation and apoptosis.
Aim: We investigated the NF-κB/MAPK inflammatory pathway and cellular apoptosis to determine the efficacy of trigonelline alkaloid (TRIG) in preventing DOX-induced lung injury.

Purpose: Adipose tissue has an important endocrine function by secreting a variety of hormones known as adipokines, such as Visfatin, Omentin-1 and Chemerin. On the other hand, these hormones are also secreted from places other than fatty tissues in the girl's genital system. The goal of this study was to demonstrate the secretory status of adipokines in patients with central precocious puberty (CPP) and their utility in the diagnosis of precocious puberty.

In this study, we evaluated whether serum lactic dehydrogenase enzyme levels are significant predictors in the early detection of successful myeloid engraftment after HSCT.
Methods: The study included 74 patients, all of whom underwent HSCT between February 2014 and June 2020.
Although several porous carbon/graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) have been prepared, a direct comparison of the electronic properties between a nonporous GNR and its periodically perforated counterpart is still missing. Here, we report the synthesis of porous 12-atom-wide armchair-edged GNRs from a bromoarene precursor on a Au(111) surface via hierarchical Ullmann and dehydrogenative coupling. The selective formation of porous 12-GNRs was achieved through thermodynamic and kinetic reaction control combined with tailored precursor design.
