To define the risk factors for relaparotomy after cesarean delivery (RLACD) and related maternal near-miss event due to bleeding. In this retrospective descriptive case-control study, women who underwent RLACD ( = 46) only for bleeding between 2012 and 2017 were reviewed. Factors that could predict relaparotomy and related near-miss event were evaluated.

Aim: Preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM) is not only the most common distinguishable cause of preterm delivery, but is also associated with adverse neonatal outcomes. We determined the platelet indices in PPROM cases and evaluated their relationship to adverse neonatal outcomes.

Methods: Fifty patients with PPROM and 50 patients who experienced spontaneous preterm labor at < 37 gestational weeks were evaluated.

Aim: Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) can be defined as intractable nausea and vomiting leading to electrolyte imbalance, ketonuria, nutrition deficiency and weight loss. Inflammation is known to play a crucial role in HG and many inflammatory markers have been studied to achieve early diagnosis. We investigated the association of the platelet to lymphocyte ratio and plateletcrit with the presence and severity of HG.
