In diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) treatment response relies on imaging. We investigated the potential value of molecular measurable residual disease (MRD) on circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) to predict patient outcomes. We retrospectively evaluated 73 patients.

They can therefore benefit from a vaccination program, especially in the watchful waiting phases or before starting oncologic treatment. The COVID-19 pandemic has raised awareness on vaccinations in frail patients, but a homogeneous approach has yet to be achieved across different vaccinations.

Aims: To examine lexical skills and gesture use in expressive (E-LTs) vs. receptive-expressive (R/E-LTs) LTs through a structured task.
Castleman disease (CD) is a group of lymphoproliferative disorders that share common histopathological features yet have widely different aetiologies, clinical features and grades of severity as well as treatments and outcomes. Siltuximab is currently the only therapy approved by the FDA and EMA for idiopathic multicentric CD and is recommended as first-line therapy in treatment guidelines. Despite the extensive characterization of siltuximab treatment in clinical trials, available evidence from real-world practice is still scant.

However, it remains uncertain whether these distinctions can already be present during the first step of information processing: the allocation of attention.
Aims: The study explored attentional patterns of Italian students with different bullying experiences in daily life while observing different roles represented through bullying vignettes.
In adolescence individuals enlarge their social relationships and peer groups acquire a strong importance for their identity. Moreover, adolescents can experiment negative relationships with peers, i.e.

At a median follow-up of 53 months, disease-free survival, overall survival, and event-free survival are 75.8%, 80.

We realized a pipeline that relies on autoencoders (AE) and Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) to stratify prognosis and derive a gene-based signature.
Methods: AE was exploited to learn an unsupervised representation of the gene expression (GE) from three publicly available datasets, each with its own technology.

A relevant problem in medicine is the standardization of the diagnosis associated with a clinical case. Although diagnosis formulation is an intrinsically subjective and uncertain process, its standardization may take benefit from digital solutions automating the routines at the basis of such a decision. In this work, we propose ARGO 2.

This effect can be mediated by school factors, even if a deep understanding of these factors still needs to be determined. The present study examined how peer network, teacher support, and school connectedness mediated the relationship between victimization, cybervictimization, and well-being.

Although relevant correlates of Internet use have been documented earlier, there is a lack of information on lower socioeconomic status groups. This is important, as these adolescents have increased risk of negative online experiences.

We have previously demonstrated that not all AML subtypes display the same dependency on MYB expression and that such variability is dictated by the nature of the driver mutation. However, whether this difference in MYB dependency is a general trend in AML remains to be further elucidated.

Among the fertility preservation methods, ovarian tissue cryopreservation (OTC) has emerged as an alternative for these patients. The Cancer Institute of Bari initiated a research program to assess the feasibility of OTC.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFIntroduction: Fertility preservation (FP) and monitoring has considerable relevance in the multidisciplinary approach to cancer patients. In these consensus-based practical recommendations, the scientific societies Fondazione Italiana Linfomi (FIL) and Società Italiana della Riproduzione Umana (SIRU) reviewed the main aspects and identified the optimal paths which aim to preserve and monitor fertility in patients diagnosed with lymphoma at the different phases of the disease and during long-term survivorship.
Methods: For the Panel, eleven experts were selected for their expertise in research and clinical practice on onco-fertility and lymphoma.
Multiple myeloma (MM) is a heterogeneous malignancy characterized by the proliferation of abnormal plasma cells in the bone marrow. Multiparametric flow cytometry (MFC) plays a role in the work-up of the disease in view of the aberrant expression of surface antigens. Our study aimed at describing the antigenic profile detected by MFC in a series of newly diagnosed MM patients to correlate the level of expression with other features of the disease.

Despite remarkable clinical results, the effects of blinatumomab on the host immune cell repertoire are not fully elucidated. In the present study, we characterized the peripheral blood (PB) and, for the first time, the bone marrow (BM) immune cell repertoire upon blinatumomab treatment.

Methods: ELBW infants born from 2009 through 2018 and undergoing brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at TEA were enrolled in this retrospective cohort study. MRI scans were reviewed using a validated quali-quantitative score, including several white and gray matter items.
We explored the relevance of genomic microarrays (GM) in the refinement of prognosis in newly diagnosed low-risk chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) patients as defined by isolated del(13q) or no lesions by a standard 4 probe fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) analysis. Compared to FISH, additional lesions were detected by GM in 27 of the 119 patients (22.7%).

Methods: In this single-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, phase-II trial of adult patients with International Prognostic Scoring System low- or intermediate-1-risk MDS, patients with a stable platelet (PLT) count (<30 × 10/mm) received eltrombopag or placebo until disease progression.
Pediatric-inspired chemotherapy is the standard of care for younger adults with Philadelphia chromosome-negative acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma (Ph- ALL/LL). In LAL1913 trial, the Gruppo Italiano Malattie EMatologiche dell'Adulto added pegaspargase 2000 IU/m2 to courses 1, 2, 5, and 6 of an 8-block protocol for patients aged from 18 to 65 years, with dose reductions in patients aged >55 years. Responders were risk stratified for allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) or maintenance per clinical characteristics and minimal residual disease (MRD).
