TREM2 has been proven to participate in phagocytosis and metabolism, but how it modulates myocardial infarction remains unclear. Previous studies have demonstrated that the transdifferentiation of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) plays a crucial role in atherosclerosis.
