The 2-substituted benzimidazole has emerged as a promising heterocyclic compound in the field of drug design. In pursuit of more sustainable photocatalysts for 2-substituted benzimidazole synthesis, the method for coating FeO with V-doped TiO was presented. On the base of characterizing composition, morphology, and properties, the prepared nano-sized FeO@V/TiO composites were used as a heterogeneous photocatalyst to catalyze the synthesis of 2-substituted benzimidazoles under light.

An efficient and green method for synthesizing 3-methyl-4-(hetero) arylmethylene isoxazole-5(4H)-ones was developed using a recyclable and environmental-friendly catalyst, NaSO, and 16 target compounds were successfully synthesized under the obtained optimal reaction condition. Using rifampicin as a positive control, the antibacterial activity of all synthesized compounds was tested by micro dilution method, among them, 3-methyl-4-[(2,4-dimethoxyphenyl) methylene]-isoxazole-5-one (4 m) presented wonderful antimicrobial activity, which may contribute to the development of anti-tuberculosis drugs.

Article Synopsis
  • * The study analyzed four gene datasets to identify 645 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) linked to MIBC, which were found to be enriched in various pathways like cell cycle and DNA replication, highlighting S100A7 as a key gene associated with worse survival outcomes in bladder cancer patients.
  • * S100A7 showed increased expression at the T2 stage of muscle invasion and was linked to poorer overall survival, with co-expressed genes revealing significant involvement in the IL-17 pathway and

Article Synopsis
  • Bladder urothelial carcinoma (BC) is the most common malignant tumor in the urinary system and is often fatal, prompting investigation into the roles of Neuropilin-1 (NRP1) in its progression.
  • High levels of NRP1 were found in BC tissues and cells, and its knockdown led to increased apoptosis and decreased cell growth, migration, and blood vessel formation.
  • The study identified various molecular pathways affected by NRP1, including its interactions with specific genes and potential regulators, revealing new insights into BC's biological mechanisms.

Accessory spleen is a congenital anomaly, those asymptomatic generally do not need surgical intervention. Retroperitoneal heterotopic accessory spleens are often misdiagnosed, especially in cases that have undergone splenectomy for various reasons. In these cases, most patients are received unnecessary resection for misdiagnosed as adrenal gland tumors, ganglioblastomas or paragangliomas preoperatively.

Objective: To gain a deeper insight into the local anatomic structures of the seminal vesicle and ejaculatory duct and provide some anatomic guidance in seminal vesiculoscopy.

Methods: We analyzed the clinical data on 48 cases of seminal vesiculoscopy and recorded the surgical approaches to the seminal vesicle and clinical effects after operation. At the same time, we made an anatomic study of the seminal vesicle, ejaculatory duct and prostatic utricle and simulated the surgical approaches in 12 adult pelvis specimens.
