Background: With the increasing survival rate of smaller newborns and twins, previous growth curves may not accurately assess the growth of extremely preterm infants (EPIs). Our study aimed to establish birth weight percentile curves for singletons and twins in EPIs from China and the USA and compare the differences between them.
Methods: In China, EPIs were from 31 provinces, from 2010 to 2021.
Background: As the most common primary bone cancer, the therapy of osteosarcoma requires further study. An anthraquinone derivative, emodin, has been found to have anticancer potential. We proposed that emodin suppresses osteosarcoma by cell cycle regulation mediated by p53.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAnoikis plays an important role in cancer invasion and metastasis. However, the role of anoikis-related genes, AnRGs, in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is not clear. First, anoikis-related genes (AnRGs) were obtained from the Genecard database.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is one of the most lethal types of cancer worldwide, and accurately predicting patient prognosis is an important challenge. Gene prediction models, which are known for their simplicity and efficiency, have the potential to be used for prognostic predictions. However, the availability of models with true clinical value is limited.

Premature infants with respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) were retrospectively analyzed and divided into 2 groups according to the drug delivery methods used: LISA versus traditional pulmonary surfactant injection (INSURE). The decrease of transcutaneous saturation (TSO2) and heart rate during surfactant delivery in the LISA group was higher than that in the INSURE group ( < .

In this work, a position-sensitive neutron detector consisting of a LiF/ZnS scintillation screen and a silicon photomultiplier array linked to a capacitive network to detect the positions of incident neutrons, is constructed and tested. To evaluate the detector performance, a series of neutron beam experiments with the detector prototype were performed in the BL20 at the China Spallation Neutron Source.

Methods: A total of 160 CRC patients who had undergone surgery were included in this study, and staged according to the guidelines of the AJCC, 7 Edition. Expression of CXCL7 and VEGF was detected by immunohistochemical (IHC) staining and divided into high and low expression subgroups.
A simple method for measuring the electron drift velocity in gases with a given electric field using a grid ionization chamber is proposed and demonstrated. By collimating incident α particles that are perpendicular to the electric field, the drift velocity can be derived easily using the electron drift distance from primary ionization to a grid divided by the time interval between the cathode and anode signal starting times. These experimental settings can avoid additional signal processing of signals and reduce the effect of electron diffusion.
