Tumour-derived exosomal lncRNA SNHG16 induces telocytes to promote metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma via the miR-942-3p/MMP9 axis.

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cell-derived exosomal LncRNA SNHG16 is highly expressed and associated with poor overall survival of patients. Telocytes (TCs), as novel interstitial cells, have been reported to promote HCC metastasis. Therefore, in our study, we investigated whether a molecular interaction occurred between exosomal LncSNHG16 and TCs in the tumor microenvironment.
