With the development of oil exploration, the number of complex situations encountered in the drilling process is continuously increasing. During the operation of large displacement and horizontal wells, the safe density window of drilling fluid is narrow in complex formations and the lost circulation problem is becoming increasingly prominent. This can easily cause the drilling fluid to enter the formation from inside the well through lost circulation channels, which will prolong the drilling cycle, increase drilling costs, affect geological logging, and could cause a series of malignant accidents (such as blowout, sticking of a drilling tool, borehole collapse, and well abandoned).

Neurodegenerative diseases (NDs), including chronic disease such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, and multiple sclerosis, and acute diseases like traumatic brain injury and ischemic stroke are characterized by progressive degeneration, brain tissue damage and loss of neurons, accompanied by behavioral and cognitive dysfunctions. So far, there are no complete cures for NDs; thus, early and timely diagnoses are essential and beneficial to patients' treatment. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has become one of the advanced medical imaging techniques widely used in the clinical examination of NDs due to its non-invasive diagnostic value.

The present study investigates whether transplantation of NSCs treated with T3 alone (T3/NSCs), or in conjunction with GDNF gene (GDNF-T3/NSCs), provides a better therapeutic effect than NSCs for chronic EAE. EAE rats were, respectively, injected with NSCs, T3/NSCs, GDNF-T3/NSCs, and saline at 10 days and sacrificed at 60 days after EAE immunization. The three cell grafted groups showed a significant reduction in clinical scores, inflammatory infiltration, and demyelination compared with the saline-injected group, and among the cell grafted groups, the reduction in GDNF-T3/NSCs group was the most notable, followed by T3/NSCs group.
