Background: The cell adhesion molecule (CAM) N-cadherin has become an important target for tumor therapy. The N-cadherin antagonist, ADH-1, exerts significant antitumor activity against N-cadherin-expressing cancers.
Methods: In this study, [F]AlF-NOTA-ADH-1 was radiosynthesized.
Skin and soft tissue diffusion metastasis (also known as occult cancer) is rare in renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Here, we report an extremely rare case of a 67-year-old male patient with occult primary RCC who developed metastases to the gums, skin, and diffuse soft tissue. The primary renal lesion was missed by computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, and 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (PET)/CT, and the diagnosis was confirmed by biopsy of gums and subcutaneous nodules.

In this study, a novel molecular imaging probe, Tc-HYNIC-ADH-1, was developed, and its diagnostic value in monitoring drug resistance in NSCLC was preliminarily investigated.
Methods: ADH-1 was labeled indirectly with Tc.
A 55-year-old man was diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma. 18F-FDG PET/CT was performed, which detected an enlarged nodule with increased uptake located in the omentum between the transverse colon and liver, thus lymph node metastasis was under suspicion. The patient subsequently underwent 68Ga-FAPI PET/MRI clinical trial after signing the informed consent, which also revealed the abnormal focus with intense uptake.

However, how Sal B affects this antioxidant pathway and the phosphorylation (p-) of Smad2 at both the COOH-terminal (pSmad2C) and linker region (pSmad2L) are unknown. The aims of the present study were to investigate the underlying mechanisms of Sal B on acute and chronic liver injury induced by CCl and HO, and its effects on p-Smad2C/L.

Neuroinflammation and abnormal tau phosphorylation that commonly presenting in Alzheimer's disease (AD) may contribute to the progression and duration of POD. To study the acute influence of surgery on cognitive function, wild type male C57BL/6 N mice were randomly divided into three groups: Control (CON), Laparotomy at 4 h and 24 h (LAP-4 h, LAP-24 h), then subjected to laparotomy under sevoflurane anaesthesia.

Thus, we hypothesized that pSmad3C expression may be negatively related to liver disease. To develop novel therapeutic strategies, a suitable animal model is required that will allow researchers to study the effect of Smad3 domain-specific phosphorylation on liver disease progression.

In the present study, we investigated the application value of F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (F-FDG PET/CT) in the preoperative evaluation of these tumours.
Methods: F-FDG PET/CT images of 58 patients with ADPC and 28 patients with benign disease were retrospectively analysed.
Background: Malignant melanoma (MM) generally presents as a primary neoplasm of the skin, and most MM cases of the respiratory system are metastatic. Primary MM of the lung (PMML) is quite rare, and its diagnosis is relatively difficult.
Case Presentation: We report the case of a 57-year-old male patient with PMML who denied any history of tumours.
Amorphous CaO-SiO2-Al2O3 (CSA) slags are widely used in the glass, ceramic, cement and metallurgy industries. Temperature, as an external condition, plays an important role in the thermal conductivity of silicates. Herein, the effects of temperature on the thermal conductivity of CSA slags were systematically investigated by using equilibrium molecular dynamics (EMD) simulations.

Main Methods: Diethylnitrosamine (DEN)-induced liver fibrosis in mice and TGF-β-activated hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) were established and treated with dosage/concentration-graded Sal B and/or MAPK activator (Vacquinol-1: MKK4-specific activator)/inhibitors (PD98059: ERK-specific inhibitor; SP600125: JNK-specific inhibitor; SB203580: p38-specific inhibitor). Histopathological characteristics and cell migration were assessed, α-SMA, Collagen I and members of TGF-β/MAPK/Smad signal transduction pathway were measured.
Context: Proper preoperative staging is vital in the treatment of breast cancer patients. Fluorine-18-labeled 2-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (F-FDG-PET/CT) and conventional diagnostic modalities including ultrasonography (US), mammography (MG), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) play a greater role.
Aims: To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of FDG-PET in detecting primary breast cancer as compared with US, MG, and MRI, and in axillary lymph nodes (ALNs) staging in Chinese women.
How to coordinate the contradiction between lubrication and heat transfer in the peritectic steel casting process is the key technical difficulty in preparing mold fluxes. The mold fluxes that are required for casting are subjected to the shear stress generated by mold oscillation and slab movement, which affects the crystallization performance of slags. The quantitative effect of slags’ crystallization performance by shear stress is studied to develop a low-basicity and high-crystallization mold flux to solve the above problem.

In order to understand the contraction behavior of the initial solidification of steels in the mold, the solidification process and surface roughness in a commercial hypo-peritectic and several non-peritectic steels were investigated using Confocal Scanning Laser Microscope (CSLM). The massive transformation of delta-Fe (δ) to austenite (γ) was documented in the hypo-peritectic steel, which caused surface wrinkles and greatly increases the surface roughness of samples in the experiments.

Patients And Methods: A total of 50 women with OP were prospectively enrolled in this study from January 2011 to October 2016 in our hospital. All the patients underwent a Tc-MDP whole-body bone scan and the BMD test before and after alendronate sodium treatment at 3, 6, 12 and 18 months, respectively.

Due to the [Al] reaction with the CaO-SiO2-based mold flux used in the high-Al steels continuous casting processes, decreasing the SiO2 content is decreased and the Al2O3 content in mold flux is increased, thus converting the original CaO-SiO2-based mold flux into a CaO-SiO2-Al2O3-based mold flux. This conversion of the mold fluxes can cause the problem of high-Al steels continuous casting. Hence, study on the structural characteristics of the CaO-SiO2-Al2O3- based mold flux can provide fundamental data to design optimum fluxes for high Al-containing steels.
