Peptostreptococcus anaerobius plays an important role in the development of colorectal cancer, and previous studies by our group have demonstrated that Peptostreptococcus anaerobius promotes resistance to 5-Fu chemotherapy in animal models of colorectal cancer. In this study, the effects of Peptostreptococcus anaerobius on chemotherapy resistance in colorectal cancer and its possible mechanism of action were investigated from the clinical point of view. Whether the dynamic development of peripheral inflammation aggravates brain injury and leads to poor outcome in stroke patients receiving intravenous thrombolysis (IVT), remains unclear and warrants further study. In this study, total of 1034 patients with acute ischemic stroke who underwent IVT were enrolled. Serum leukocyte variation (whether increase from baseline to 24 h after IVT), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), infarct volume, early neurologic deterioration (END), the unfavorable outcome at 3-month (modified Rankin Scale [mRS] score ≥3) and mortality were recorded.

Background: The 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) causing an outbreak of pneumonia in Wuhan, Hubei province of China was isolated in January 2020. This study aims to investigate its epidemiologic history, and analyze the clinical characteristics, treatment regimens, and prognosis of patients infected with 2019-nCoV during this outbreak.
