Estuarine habitats are a critical zone of the Earth with strong land-sea interactions, that are strongly influenced by human activities. Microplastics (MPs) pollution in the Yellow River Delta (YRD) wetland, a typical young warm-temperate estuarine wetland, has not been comprehensively studied. The morphology, abundance, particle size, and polymer composition of MPs in the surface sediments of the YRD wetland were determined, and the pollution status and ecological risk in the study area were evaluated using the pollution load index (PLI) and potential pollution risk index (PRI).

Background: Norepinephrine (NE) has currently been the first-choice vasopressor in treating septic shock despite generally insufficient for patients with refractory septic shock. The aim of this update meta-analysis was to assess the safety and efficacy of a combination of non-catecholamine vasopressors (vasopressin/pituitrin/terlipressin/selepressin/angiotensin II) and NE versus NE in managing adult septic shock patients.

Methods: We conducted this study of literatures published from the inception to April 30, 2020, using PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library databases without language restriction.

Objective: To investigate role and clinical significance of CDK13 in breast cancer patients.

Methods: A total of 189 cases of breast cancer were enrolled during March 2013 to March 2015. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) was used for measurement of CDK13, HIF-1α and beclin1.

The cooperativity effects between H-bonding and Na(+)⋯π or Na(+)⋯σ interactions in Na(+)⋯benzonitrile⋯H2O complexes were investigated using the B3LYP and MP2(full) methods with 6-311++G(2d,p) and aug-cc-pVTZ basis sets. The thermodynamic cooperativity and the influence of this cooperativity on aromaticity was evaluated by nucleus-independent chemical shifts (NICS). The results showed that the influence of the Na(+)⋯σ or Na(+)⋯π interaction on the hydrogen bond is more pronounced than that of the latter on the former.

Background: Dynesys dynamic stabilization system was first implanted in patients in 1994, and introduced to China in 2007. Therefore, it was a new technique for Chinese orthopedics and hence necessary to collect clinical data about Dynesys in China. The objective of this study was to report the preliminary results of Dynesys for the lumbar degenerative disease in China.

The microstructure and fracture morphology of carbon coatings were investigated by means of Raman spectrometer and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), which were prepared by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) on the surface of SiC fiber with C2 H2 + H2 and C2 H2 +C3 H8 + Ar as the reactants. The results show that the spectra of the carbon coating contain characteristic D, D" and G peaks around 1 350, 1 400-1 500 and 1 600 cm(-1) respectively, indicating a disordered-graphite structure with a small amount of amorphous carbon. The size of microcrystallite increased with the increase in temperature, and the degree of order, together with the uniformity in the carbon coating was improved simultaneously.

Objective: The aim of this study was to find an accurate and feasible measurement technique for the inner ear structures using computed tomography and to check the inter-observer agreement

Methods: Sixty patients without abnormal structure of temporal bones confirmed by means of high-resolution computed tomography were included in this study. The multi-planar reformations (MPR) were performed to show the maximum profile of cochlear, and to measure the height and width of cochlear. Areas of bony island encircled by three semicircular canals were measured on the MPR images that could show the whole canal.

Molecular imaging of thrombus formation at initial stage requires a robust thrombus-specific contrast agent with high sensitivity. In this study, we report a novel P-selectin-targeted paramagnetic molecular imaging agent and the agent's potential to sensitively detect occult microthrombi on the intimal surface of endothelium. Platelet clots and blood clots targeted in vitro with paramagnetic nanoparticles presented a highly detectable, homogeneous T1-weighted contrast enhancement that was improved with increasing gadolinium level.
