All-solid-state lithium metal batteries (ASSLMBs) have emerged as the most promising next-generation energy storage devices. However, the unsatisfactory ionic conductivity of solid electrolytes at room temperature has impeded the advancement of solid-state batteries. In this work, a multifunctional composite solid electrolyte (CSE) is developed by incorporating boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs) into polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene (PVDF-HFP).

Catalysts play a crucial role in BNNT synthesis. This work delves into the impact of oxygen (O) on Ti-based catalysts during the CVD growth of BNNTs.

However, when flexible graphene nanosheets are assembled into macroscopic thermally conductive composites, capillary forces induce shrinkage of graphene nanosheets to form wrinkles during solution-based spontaneous drying, which greatly reduces the thermal conductivity of the composites. Herein, graphene nanosheets/aramid nanofiber (GNS/ANF) composite films with high thermal conductivity were prepared by in-plane stretching of GNS/ANF composite hydrogel networks with hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions.

A self-grinding exfoliation strategy that depends on mutual shear friction between flake graphite particles is successfully developed to prepare pristine graphene with largely enhanced yield and productivity. Bioinspired assembly of pristine graphene nanosheets to an interconnected aramid nanofiber network is achieved by a continuous sol-gel-film transformation strategy and generates a flexible yet highly thermoconductive film. Flexible yet highly thermoconductive materials are essential for the development of next-generation flexible electronic devices.

In mollusk nacre, a small volume of the chitin nanofiber framework hosts 95 vol % CaCO microplatelets, enabling the high-loading natural composites to exhibit a ductile deformation behavior. Inspired by this, we fabricate a large-area, boron nitride-based bio-inspired paper using a facile sol-gel-film conversion approach, in which BN microplatelets with a loading of 40-80 wt % are embedded into a 3D poly(-phenylene benzobisoxazole) nanofiber framework.

Simultaneous integration of all these properties for mica-based materials remains unresolved. Herein, inspired by the three-dimensional (3D) chitin nanofiber framework within the layered architecture of natural nacre, we report a large-area layered mica-based nanopaper containing a 3D aramid nanofiber framework, which is prepared by a sol-gel-film transformation process.

This inhibition prevents the phosphorylation of the retinoblastoma protein (pRb), resulting in cellular senescence through inhibition of E2F-mediated transcription of S phase genes required for cell proliferation. The p16Ink4a plays an important role in tumor suppression, whereby its deletion, mutation, or epigenetic silencing is a frequently observed genetic alteration in prostate cancer.

Our previous study showed that tumors with spermatic cord LVI present at a higher clinical stage than tumors with LVI confined to the testis (pT2). We compared NSGCTs with LVI of the spermatic cord without direct involvement of the spermatic cord soft tissues to pT3 tumors to help clarify the appropriate staging of this histologic finding.

Compared with bare GCE, the incorporation of nitrogen into the GCE surface structure improved the electrocatalytic properties of GCE towards the electro-oxidation of HQ and CC. The nitrogen-introduced GCE (N-GCE) was evaluated for the simultaneous detection of HQ and CC and the linear ranges for HQ and CC were both from 5 to 260 μM.

Several useful approaches to accomplish genomic prediction have been developed and used widely, but still have room for improvement to gain more accuracy. In this study, an improved Bayesian approach, termed BayesBπ, which differs from the original BayesB in priors assigning, is proposed.

While the use of α-methylacyl coA racemase and high molecular weight cytokeratins have aided in distinguishing benign mimics from malignancy, their sensitivity and specificity are limited. We studied 6C4, a monoclonal antibody to glutamate receptor 2, an excitatory amino acid receptor subunit distributed throughout the central nervous system, on benign prostatic epithelium, high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia, and PC.

Flow-injection chemiluminescence was applied to determine the trace polyhydroxy phenol in environment (soil and water). Based on the comparison of several different chemiluminescence systems and optimization, an alkaline luminol-NaIO4 system for determinating polyhydroxy phenol was chosen. During the process of polyhydroxy phenol determination, the effect of dissolved humic acid (HA) on the determination of phenol by this chemiluminescence system was also considered, which generally coexists in soil and water widely.

Methods: L(1), L(3) laminectomies were performed on 96 Wistar rats. The rats were divided into 3 groups: None-implant Control Group (NC), Autologous free fat graft group (AFFG) and PCL/PLA membrane group (PCL/PLAm).
Testicular carcinoids are rare and the majority are of primary testicular origin. Testicular carcinoids can also be secondary from extra-testicular primary tumors, but the incidence is even less common. The case described here is a patient who initially had an infiltrating cecal carcinoid with hepatic metastasis.

Purpose: To assess the prognostic influence of parapharyngeal space involvement in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).
Materials And Methods: From January 1987 to December 1994, 197 untreated NPC patients were examined by CT scan before treatment. The parapharyngeal space was separated into pre-styloid and post-styloid compartments on axial images by the styloid process.
