The study aimed to assess the prevalence of Toxoplasma gondii infections among scattered chickens in Wuxi City.
A total of 309 scattered chickens were tested, showing a 22.33% overall positive infection rate, compared to only 2.67% in 150 intensive farming chickens, indicating a significant difference.
The results suggest a high infection rate in scattered chickens, highlighting the need for increased attention from medical and veterinary professionals and food safety workers.
