Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of different acupuncture points in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis with supervised moxibustion.
Methods: Retrospective analysis of 61 AS patients (diagnosed as ankylosing spondylitis of kidney-yang deficiency type by Chinese medicine) admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to February 2021, randomly divided into 30 cases in the experimental group (Du moxibustion + basic western medicine treatment) and 31 cases in the control group (basic western medicine treatment alone). The changes in quantitative scores of the main symptoms and major signs (thoracic mobility, occipital-wall distance, finger-ground distance, and laboratory index (ESR)) were analyzed before and after treatment.
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a result of a complex interplay between genes, host immune response, gut microbiota, and environmental factors. As one of the crucial environmental factors, diet plays a pivotal role in the modulation of gut microbiota community and the development of IBD. In this review, we present an overview of dietary patterns involved in the pathogenesis and management of IBD, and analyze the associated gut microbial alterations.

(1) The accuracy of patient-derived xenografts (PDXs) in predicting ADP-ribose polymerase inhibitor (PARPi) efficacy in ovarian cancer was tested, novel biomarkers were investigated, and whether PARPis could replace platinum-based chemotherapy as a first-line therapy was explored. (2) PDXs were reconstructed for 40 patients with ovarian cancer, and niraparib, olaparib and paclitaxel, and carboplatin (TC) sensitivity tests were conducted. Whole exon sequencing and homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) scores were performed, and patient clinical information was collected.

It casts a significant influence on the rational use of voriconazole. We conducted this study to investigate the relationship between steady-state voriconazole trough concentration (C) and adverse effects (AEs), especially hepatotoxicity.

However, it is still a great challenge to meet the high demand for large-area flexible displays with structural color filters. Here, a reflective color filter is developed with a sandwiched metasurface, where the photoresist grating, complementary silver grating and silicon nitride grating are sequentially stacked on the substrate.

Although the precise pathogenesis remains unclear, gut microbiota, bile acids (BAs), and aberrant immune response play essential roles in the development of IBD. Lately, gut dysbiosis including certain decreased beneficial bacteria and increased pathogens and aberrant BAs metabolism have been reported in IBD.

However, researchers have not clearly determined whether ADRB2 activation ameliorates defective mitophagy and cognitive deficits in individuals with AD.

We designed Engage-PD, a PA coaching program delivered via telehealth and grounded in self-determination theory to promote PA uptake and facilitate exercise self-efficacy in people with Parkinson disease. This study aimed to determine the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of Engage-PD, and to explore whether baseline characteristics were associated with outcomes.

Objective: To estimate the time-varying association of primary and booster COVID-19 vaccination and prior SARS-CoV-2 infection with subsequent SARS-CoV-2 infection, hospitalization, and death.
Design, Setting, And Participants: Cohort study of 10.
A fundamental challenge of neuroscience is to understand how a single neuron responds to multiple synaptic inputs effectively and reliably. In primary visual cortex, repeated stimuli to one eye elicit neuronal responses of inherent variability and reliability. However, it remains unclear how this monocular variability and reliability contribute to the establishment of effective and reliable binocular responses and what drives this development.

Purpose: To evaluate the potential of extracellular volume (ECV) fraction based on T1 mapping in preoperative identification of LVSI in cervical cancer compared with dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI).

Early and effective diagnosis of glioma using diagnostic biomarkers can prolong patients' lives and aid in the development of new personalized treatments. Therefore, a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the diagnostic biomarkers in gliomas is of great significance.

We describe a unique rectosigmoid sparing en bloc pelvic resection technique for fixed ovarian tumors infiltrating the colon wall.
Methods: From July 2020 to June 2021, 20 patients with advanced epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) underwent rectosigmoid sparing en bloc pelvic resection successfully at our institution.
RNA N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is the most common and intensively studied RNA modification that critically regulates RNA metabolism, cell signaling, cell survival, and differentiation. However, the overall role of multiple m6A regulators in the tumor microenvironment (TME) has not yet been fully elucidated in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). In our study, we explored the genetic and transcriptional alterations of 23 m6A regulators in AML patients.

Vitamin deficiencies and gut microbiota dysbiosis have a close relationship with the risk, development, and progression of IBD and CAC. There is a strong link between vitamins and the gut microbiome.

Methods We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of MPA patients admitted to internal medicine departments between the year 2002 and 2012. The patients were divided into the ILD, DAH, DAH combined with ILD (DAHILD), and no pulmonary involvement (NPI) groups according to pulmonary involvement patterns.

Purpose: Helping others is a classic virtue and a positive behavior advocated by organizations and society at large in accordance with social norms. Based on social information processing theory, this study examines the mechanisms by which social exchange relationships influence individual helping behavior.
Patients And Methods: Chinese General Social Survey data from 2015 (CGSS 2015) is applied, and regression analysis and bootstrapping methods are adopted.
