An extension of our previous research work has resulted in a number of new ATP-competitive CK2 inhibitors that have been identified among 4-aminothieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives. The most active compounds obtained in the course of the research are 3-(5-p-tolyl-thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-ylamino)-benzoic acid, 5e (NHTP23, IC50 = 0.01 μM), 3-(5-phenyl-thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-ylamino)-benzoic acid, 5g (NHTP25, IC50 = 0.

Fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1) plays an important role in tumorigenesis and is therefore an attractive target for anticancer therapy. Using molecular docking approach we have identified inhibitor of FGFR1 belonging to 5-amino-4-(1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl)-phenyl-1,2-dihydro-pyrrol-3-ones with IC50 value of 3.5 μM.

Fibroblast grow factor receptor 1 (FGFR1) is an important anti-cancer target that plays crucial role in oncogenesis and oncogenic angiogenesis. The structure-activity relationship (SAR) of N-phenylthieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-amines was investigated. Binding of active compounds with FGFR1 kinase was analyzed by molecular modeling studies.

New class of FGFR1 kinase inhibitors with naphthostyril heterocycle has been identified. A series of N-phenylnaphthostyril-1-sulfonamides has been synthesized and tested in vitro. It was revealed that the most active compound N-(4-hydroxyphenyl)naphthostyril-1-sulfonamide inhibited FGFR1 with IC50 of 2 µM.

Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) were fabricated on glass slides with a "sandwich" technique giving ~20 µm thick films. Methanol/water as a solvent, and polyethyleneglycol and polyvinylacetate as solvent modifiers, were used to give a porous morphology, which was studied with scanning electron microscopy and gravimetric analysis. Various MIPs were synthesized through non-covalent imprinting with phenol as the template; itaconic acid, 4-vinylpyridine, and styrene as monomers; ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, triethylene glycol dimethacrylate, and pentaerythritol triacrylate (PETA) as cross-linkers.
