Materials And Methods: A total of 32 implants were placed in 20 healthy, partially dentate individuals with an isolated single missing tooth. The implant sites were randomly allocated into two treatment groups: Group A (thermoplastic implant surgical guide, = 16 implants) and Group B (3D printed implant surgical guide, = 16 implants).

Methods: Fifty-six patients aged 18-60 years, with American Society of Anesthesiologists Physical Statuses I-II, and undergoing transsphenoidal surgery for pituitary tumors were randomized into either the RESPONSE FIRST group, in which neuromuscular reversal was given following the patient's response to oral commands, or the REVERSAL FIRST group, in which reversal of neuromuscular blockade (NMB) was given at the return of spontaneous respiration.

Introduction: Primary cardiac myxomas are rare tumors. Concurrent valvular lesion is a common finding on evaluation which is thought to be due to annular dilatation secondary to tumor movement across the valve, functional obstruction across the valve, and severe pulmonary hypertension secondary to chronic obstruction. A common belief among surgeons is that excision of myxoma leads to abatement of symptoms, and further valve intervention may not be warranted.

One Pot Synthesis of Two Distinct Macrocycles: Aromatic p-Benzihexaphyrin and Nonaromatic Doubly Fused p-Benzihexaphyrin.

Aromatic trithia p-benzihexaphyrins and nonaromatic doubly fused trithia p-benzihexaphyrins were synthesized in a one pot reaction by condensing a p-benzithiophene based tetrapyrrane with three different bithiophene diols under acid catalyzed conditions. The aromatic and nonaromatic macrocycles showed clear differences in colour, NMR, absorption, and electrochemical properties. Theoretical studies supported the observed aromatic and nonaromatic characteristics, respectively, of the p-benzihexaphyrins and their N-fused derivatives.

Since probiotics from the human source are preferred, there exists a huge repertoire of lactobacilli in the human oral cavity which could prove a much better niche to be exploited for these beneficial microorganisms. Therefore, in this study, four lactobacilli strains, including strain DISK7, reported earlier, isolated from dental plaque samples of a healthy humans were evaluated for their probiotic potential.

The and structural isomers of di--benzidithiaoctaphyrins were synthesized by adopting two different synthetic routes using readily available precursors under acid-catalyzed conditions, and the isomers were separated using basic alumina column chromatography. 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy were used to deduce the molecular structures of the macrocycles, which also helps to differentiate the isomer from the isomer. DFT studies revealed that both the and isomers adopt figure of eight conformations but exhibit clear differences in their structural features, and the isomer is more distorted than the isomer.
