Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical benefits of nivolumab with/without ipilimumab combined with stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) in patients with pretreated metastatic biliary tract cancer (mBTC).

Patients And Methods: The study was a phase 2 randomized trial with Simon's optimal two-stage design requiring 36 evaluable patients per group after second stage. Sixty-one patients were included from September 2018 to January 2022 and randomized (1:1) to receive SBRT (15 Gy × 1 on day 1 to a primary or metastatic lesion) and nivolumab (3 mg/kg intravenously on day 1 and every 2 weeks) with/without ipilimumab (1 mg/kg intravenously on day 1 and every 6 weeks).

Background: Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) can be clinically controlled by first-line immunosuppressive therapy in the majority of patients. However, a selective decrease in intrahepatic regulatory T cells (Treg) was observed with immunosuppressive therapy, which was even more pronounced in patients with incomplete responses than in patients who achieved biochemical remission. Background: Circulating transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β)-specific T cells that recognize TGF-β-expressing immune regulatory cells have been described in patients with cancer. TGF-β-derived peptide vaccination modulates the tumor microenvironment and has shown clinical effects in animal models of pancreatic cancer (PC).   • - Elastography is a noninvasive method used to assess liver fibrosis, and this study compares the effectiveness of three techniques—2D shear wave ultrasound elastography (USe), Transient Elastography (TE), and Magnetic Resonance elastography (MRe)—in pediatric patients with liver disease. - The study analyzed 93 patients and found that all three elastographic methods had strong ability to predict advanced fibrosis (stages F3-4), with MRe showing the highest performance, followed closely by TE. - TE is highlighted as a particularly reliable and easy technique for evaluating liver fibrosis in children, while combining the different methods did not significantly improve predictive accuracy.
