[Questionnaire survey of patients of medical dental organizations in different regions of the Russian Federation on the issues of individual and professional oral hygiene].

Unlabelled: To analyze the respondents' attitudes to oral hygiene and to assess the need for professional oral hygiene in different regions of the Russian Federation based on the data of questionnaire analysis.

Objective: To obtain comparative data on the issues of individual and professional oral hygiene of patients of medical dental organizations in a number of Russian cities.

Material And Methods: We conducted an anonymous questionnaire survey of 624 patients (18 to 70 years old) who applied to medical dental organizations of different forms of ownership in five regions of the Russian Federation (Moscow, Omsk, Ryazan, Samara, Tambov).

[The results of quantitative assessment of the level of adherence to treatment in patients of dental medical organizations].

Objective: To determine the level of adherence to treatment in patients applying to dental organizations of different forms of ownership.

Material And Methods: 1.067 patients of both sexes and various ages who applied to public and private dental organizations of Moscow, Omsk, and Tyumen have been surveyed using the Questionnaire for Quantitative Assessment of Adherence to Treatment (KOP-25), which allows to obtain a quantitative evaluation of the level of adherence to drug treatment, medical support, lifestyle modification, and characterize the level of integral adherence to treatment in patients.

[Expression markers of innate and adaptive immunity in gingival biopsies of patients with chronic generalized periodontitis during treatment].

Objective was to evaluate changes in expression of TLR, CD4, CD8 and CD20 in the mucosa of the gums occurring under the influence of basic treatment in patients with periodontitis. Fifty-seven periodontitis patients that received basic treatment were included in the study, gingival mucosa biopsies were obtained and immunohistochemical evaluation of the expression of TLR-2, TLR-4, CD4, CD8 and CD2 and the severity of acanthosis were assessemd in course of treatment. It is shown that one month of therapy significantly reduces the amount of TLR-2 and TLR-4 in gingival epithelial cells, populations of CD4 and CD8 lymphocytes in the inflammatory infiltrates, whereas no significant differences in the quantitative distribution of CD20-lymphocytes have been identified.

[Clinical variations of chronic generalized periodontitis, genetic polymorphism and systemic production of inflammatory cytokines].

Carriage of polymorphic alleles of genes of cytokines-interleukines IL-1β, IL-1RN, TNFα, IL-4 can be a specific feature of chronic periodontitis patients. Genetic tests can be used to predict the course of the disease at its early manifestations. Objective: To establish the relationship of clinical manifestations of periodontal disease, inflammatory cytokines gene polymorphism and systemic levels of cytokine production.
