Unilateral Submandibular Gland Aplasia with Ipsilateral Sublingual Ranula - A Case Report.

Background: Congenital aplasia of major salivary glands is a very rare entity, especially if it concerns an ipsilateral aplasia in a nonsyndromic patient.

Key Points From The Case: The aim of this report is to present a case of an aplasia of the left submandibular gland, which was incidentally diagnosed during presurgical imaging for an ipsilateral sublingual ranula. Histopathological evidence of the lack of sublingual gland tissue in the excised specimen of the ranula is discussed.

Ossifying fibroma of the jaws: a clinical study of 14 cases and review of the literature.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical outcomes of ossifying fibroma (OF) in a group of 14 patients treated in our clinic and discuss the management and the prognosis of this tumor.

Study Design: The study included 14 consecutive patients with OF of the jaws with ages ranging from 7 to 55 years. Primary site distribution was maxilla (1), maxilla, maxillary sinus (1), and mandible (12).

Central giant cell granuloma of the jaws: a clinical study of 17 cases and a review of the literature.

Objectives: The aim of this prospective study was to evaluate the outcome of treatment of a group of 17 patients with central giant cell granuloma (CGCG) who were treated in our clinic.

Methods: A group of 17 patients with CGCG were treated in the Clinic of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the "G. Papanikolaou" hospital in Thessaloniki.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the results of treatment of 6 patients with ABC who were treated in our clinic.

Material And Methods: A group of 6 patients with ABC were treated in the clinic of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the "G. Papanikolaou" hospital in Thessaloniki.
