Background: The association between psoriasis and the risk of cancer has been investigated in numerous studies utilising electronic health records (EHRs), with conflicting results in the extent of the association.
Objectives: To assess concordance and timing of cancer recording between primary care, hospital and death registration data for people with and without psoriasis.
Methods: Cohort studies delineated using primary care EHRs from the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) GOLD and Aurum databases, with linkage to hospital episode statistics (HES), Office for National Statistics (ONS) mortality data and indices of multiple deprivation (IMD).

Background: Treating to absolute treatment targets rather than relative measures such as Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI)-75 is emerging as an important clinical concept included in psoriasis guidelines and clinical practice. Achieving treatment targets is associated with achievement of long-term outcomes.
Objective: To evaluate the relationship between psoriasis severity, disease characteristics and achievement of PASI ≤2 with apremilast in a pooled analysis of the phase 3 ESTEEM 1 and 2 (NCT01194219 and NCT01232283), phase 3b LIBERATE (NCT01690299) and phase 4 UNVEIL (NCT02425826) clinical trials.

Purpose: Insomnia is highly prevalent in prisoners. The purpose of this paper is a review of research evidence on interventions with sleep as an outcome (2000 to 2020) and rates of insomnia prevalence and associated factors in prisons (2015 to 2020).
Design/methodology/approach: An internet-based search used Medline, PubMed, PsycINFO (EBSCOhost), Embase, Web of Science and Scopus.
Purpose: To evaluate the impact of using consistent complication-avoidance protocols in patients undergoing endoscopic pituitary adenoma surgery including techniques for avoiding anosmia, epistaxis, carotid artery injury, hypopituitarism, cerebrospinal fluid leaks and meningitis.
Methods: All patients undergoing endoscopic adenoma resection from 2010 to 2020 were included. Primary outcomes included 90-day complication rates, gland function outcomes, reoperations, readmissions and length of stay.
Importance: Determining psoriasis prevalence is fundamental to understanding the burden of the disease, the populations most affected, and health policies to address the disease.
Objective: (1) To determine the prevalence of psoriasis among adults in the US and (2) to evaluate the change in psoriasis prevalence over time since the 2003-2004 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) data.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This population-based cross-sectional study used 2011-2014 NHANES data (collected from January 1, 2011, to December 31, 2014) with sampling from a general, noninstitutionalized US civilian population.

Introduction: Dupilumab is approved as first-line systemic treatment for adults/adolescents with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) in Europe and elsewhere owing to its favourable benefit-risk profile. However, systemic non-steroidal immunosuppressants (NSISS) are often used as first-line therapy in clinical practice. Impact of prior therapy with NSISS on dupilumab's treatment effect vs.

The impact of alcohol misuse on treatment response has not been previously investigated.
Objectives: To investigate whether alcohol misuse is associated with poor response to treatment for psoriasis.
Background: With growing worldwide endoscopy experience, endonasal and supraorbital removal of tuberculum sellae meningiomas (TSM) has increased.
Objective: To describe anatomic factors for guiding approach selection and outcomes.
Methods: Retrospective analysis of patients undergoing endonasal or supraorbital TSM resection: approach criteria, clinical outcomes, acute magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) fluid-attenuated inversion-recovery (FLAIR)/T2 changes.
The success of cannabinoids with chronic neuropathic pain and anxiety has been demonstrated in a multitude of studies. With the high availability of a non-intoxicating compound, cannabidiol (CBD), an over-the-counter medication, has generated heightened interest in its use in the field of oncology. This review focuses on the widespread therapeutic potential of CBD with regard to enhanced wound healing, lowered toxicity profiles of chemotherapeutics, and augmented antitumorigenic effects.

These medicines, particularly those targeting interleukin (IL)-17 and IL-23p19, can offer clear or nearly clear skin for the majority of patients with psoriasis, with good long-term drug survival. However, as currently used, none of these therapies is curative and disconcertingly there is a small but increasing number of patients with severe psoriasis who have failed all currently available therapeutic modalities.

The objective of this manuscript was to review and evaluate the efficacy and safety data of Dengvaxia for the treatment of severe secondary dengue infection. Dengvaxia is the brand name for chimeric yellow fever-dengue-tetravalent dengue vaccine (CYD-TDV). A literature search through PubMed was conducted using the keywords 'dengue vaccine', 'Dengvaxia', 'efficacy' or 'safety'.

This led EPA to develop two models to form an Integrated Assessment Model (IAM): HAWQS is a web-based water quantity and quality modeling systems and BenSPLASH is a modeling platform for quantifying the economic benefits of changes in water quality. This paper discusses the development of the component models and applies HAWQS and BenSPLASH to a case study in the Republican River Basin.

It is important to understand patients' preferences to enable the informed introduction of stratified medicine, which is likely to involve a number of individual tests that could be collated into a prescribing algorithm for biological drug selection to be used in clinical practice.
Objectives: To quantify patient preferences for an algorithm-based approach to prescribing biologics ('biologic calculator') in psoriasis.
Background: The implementation of lockdowns in the UK during the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a system switch to remote primary care consulting at the same time as the incidence of domestic violence and abuse (DVA) increased. Lockdown-specific barriers to disclosure of DVA reduced the opportunity for DVA detection and referral. The PRECODE (PRimary care rEsponse to domestic violence and abuse in the COvid-19 panDEmic) study will comprise quantitative analysis of the impact of the pandemic on referrals from IRIS (Identification and Referral to Improve Safety) trained general practices to DVA agencies in the UK and qualitative analysis of the experiences of clinicians responding to patients affected by DVA and adaptations they have made transitioning to remote DVA training and patient support.

Background: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has had major implications for general surgery practice. We sought to characterize general surgeons' perceptions of their surgical practice in Ontario, Canada, regarding operating room precautions to maximize safety during the pandemic.
Methods: A web-administered cross-sectional survey was sent to general surgeons registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario on May 19, 2020.

Background: Psoriasis is a serious and chronic noncommunicable disease. However, the fundamental measure of disease occurrence, the incidence, has been scarcely reported globally. There are no previous studies of psoriasis incidence in Latin America.
