Objective: The aim: To study the activity of inducible NO synthase in the blood, the content of NO metabolites and peroxynitrite in the skin and blood of guinea pigs during erythema periods after local ultraviolet skin irradiation.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The studies were carried out on 24 guinea pigs, subjected to local ultraviolet irradiation. The control group consisted of intact guinea pigs (n=6).

One of the most common scientific methods to study the chemical composition of bone matter is energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). However, interpretation of the data obtained can be quite complicated and require a thorough understanding of bone structure. This is especially important when evaluating subtle changes of chemical composition, including the age-related ones.

The analysis of the publications of the journal "Forensic medical examination" in the field of research «identification» for the period from 1980 to 2018 is carried out. Using the scientometric method, we studied the dynamics of publications on the study of the development of the scientific direction in order to objectively evaluate its relevance and possible prospects. The results of the analytical study demonstrated a wide range of objects and research methods.

This paper demonstrates the need for an integrated approach to improve the accuracy of corpse age calculation based on measurements of a heterogeneous nature and conditions of partially distorted or incomplete data, using modern information intelligent technologies. A generalized algorithm developed on the basis of various mathematical methods of primary data processing and the extraction of different structures is presented, in addition to the reliability of the information.

The study presents the results of a complex histomorphometric research of the features of the age-related dynamics of bone tissue. As a study material we used samples of the distal epiphysis and diaphysis of the left tibia from 348 corpses of males with a known age from 0 to 90 years. A group of microosteometric features, that have the strongest correlation with age, is established in different age groups; their quantitative characteristics are given.

For the development of methods of additional differential diagnostics of gliomas of various grades of malignancy and gliomas and local inflammatory processes in the CNS we studied the intensity of aggregation of peripheral blood cells under the influence of channel blockers ketamine and verapamil. In in vitro experiments, verapamil and ketamine in various dilutions (from 10 to 100,000 times) were added to blood samples and the effects of these dilutions on the intensity of blood aggregation in patients with gliomas of different degree of malignancy, traumatic brain injuries, and other types of neurosurgical pathologies were studied. A correlation was revealed between the decrease in surface charge of blood cells and the type of neurosurgical pathology.

Background: Colorectal, lung and breast tumors are the most devastating and frequent malignances in clinical oncology. SEREX-analysis of colon cancer leads to identification of more than hundred antigens which are potential tumor markers. With idea that immunoscreening with pool of allogeneic sera is more productive for antigen isolation, SEREX-analysis was applied to four cases of stages II-IV primary colon tumor and 22 new antigens were isolated.

Aim Of The Study: to study the efficiency of gene therapy following traumatic brain injury (TBI) by evaluating the influences of liposomal transfection of the brain tissue by APOE3-containing plasmid vector on the structural and functional manifestations of development of secondary brain injuries after acute experimental TBI in the rats of different age.

Material And Methods: Severe diffuse TBI in rats was inflicted under overall anesthesia by free load weighing 450 g, falling from a 1.5 m elevation.

Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra of RNA isolated from tumour brain (glioma) and DNA isolated from low-dose gamma-irradiated epididymis cells of rats from the Chernobyl accident zone have been investigated in the 700-4000 cm(-1) region. The total absorbed radiation doses were equal to or less than 57 cGy. Observed changes in the FTIR spectra represent the damage in the primary, secondary and tertiary structure of nucleic acid, which seem to be connected with modification of bases and sugars, and redistribution of the H-bond network.

The data on surface enhanced IR absorption (SEIRA) of nucleic acids deposited on a metal substrate were obtained using FTIR in reflectance mode. A 200-400 A thick gold film on a glass plate was the metal substrate. The approximate enhancement factors of the SEIRA for different vibrations of nucleic acids in our experimental conditions were 3-5.

Neuronal injury may have one of the following three sequelae: death of the neurone, persistent atrophy or recovery. The ability of mature neurones to recover is dependent to a not inconsiderable degree on neurotrophins, on the basis of which consideration the following objective of genotherapy in craniocerebral injury (CCI) is formulated: achievement of therapeutically useful levels of expression of neutrophins by employment of genetical methodological approaches. The next prerequisite for institution of genotherapy in CCI is a proved dependance of CCI sequelae on individual genetic features, on APO E-genotype in particular, which fact suggests to us that specific correction is within the bounds of possibility.

Effects of inhibitors of enzymes involved in biosynthesis of putrescine and polyamines on growth of mice C3H strain transformed fibroblasts as well as on the intracellular content of putrescine and polyamines were studied. Putrescine and polyamines were estimated as dansyl derivatives using HPLC. DL-alpha-difluoromethyl ornithine (F2MeOrn) and methyl glyoxalbis (quanyl hydrazone) (MGBG) were added to cultivation medium at final concentration 10(-4) M daily within 4 days.

It was established that difluoromethylornithine (DFMO) and methylglyoxal-bis(guanylhydrazone) blocked the mitogenic response of hepatocytes to epidermal growth factor. This effect of inhibitors, especially DFMO, has been prevented by exogenic putrescine, spermidine or spermine. But neither blocking action of inhibitors nor preventing effect of polyamines associated with changes of epidermal growth factor binding to hepatocytes.

Difluoromethylornithine (DFMO) was studied for its effect on the aminoxidase activity in the culture media during proliferation and differentiation of mouse fibroblasts. Single introduction of difluoromethylornithine into the culture medium increases the polyamine oxidase activity during 12 to 24 hours after the action. In the subsequent periods DFMO in 0.

The inhibitory effect of difluoromethylornithine (DFMO) synthesized by the authors on the activity of the ornithine decarboxylase (ODC) and proliferation of microbial and mammalian cells in vitro was studied. The in vivo growth of ascite plasmocytoma of solid melanoma B-16 cells in mice was also effectively inhibited by DFMO. But the antiproliferative activity of DFMO in solid tumours was substantially lower.

Serum polyamine oxidase was studied for its effect on normal and transformed fibroblasts, Erlich carcinoma, Zaidela hepatoma and experimental Svec leukaemia cells as well as on K-562 human leukaemia cells. It is found that the cell death was induced by dialdehydes generated by polyamine deamination. Autoradiographically it was shown that dialdehydes cross-link the cell plasma membranes.
