Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a challenging B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma with a poor prognosis and frequent relapses. While treatment advancements such as rituximab and Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitors (BTKi) like ibrutinib have improved outcomes, novel treatments are continually sought. Zanubrutinib, a second-generation BTKi, promises reduced side effects due to its high selectivity and reduced off-target inhibition.

Background: Globally, midwifery-led birthing units are associated with favourable clinical outcomes and positive birth experiences. As part of our evaluation of Canada's first Alongside Midwifery Unit (AMU) at Markham Stouffville Hospital, we sought to explore and compare birth experiences and satisfaction among midwifery clients who gave birth on the AMU with midwifery clients who gave birth on the traditional obstetric unit prior to AMU implementation.

Methods: We conducted a structured, online, cross-sectional survey of midwifery clients in the six months before, and up to 18 months after, opening of the AMU at Markham Stouffville Hospital, Ontario Canada.

The transition to parenthood (TTP) is an exciting yet destabilizing time for couples. First-time parents may experience changes in their sexual satisfaction during the TTP, but little is known about the factors associated with these changes. Romantic attachment might help understand why some new parents experience a decrease in sexual satisfaction while others do not.

Differences in sediment biogeochemistry among tidal marsh features with different hydrological and geomorphological characteristics, including marsh interiors, marsh edges, first-order channels, and third-order channels, can result in spatial variation in MeHg production and availability. To better understand the link between MeHg production in sediments and bioaccumulation in primary and secondary consumer invertebrates and fish, we characterized mesoscale spatial variation in sediment biogeochemistry and MeHg concentrations of sediments, water, and consumer tissues among marsh features. Our results indicated that marsh interiors had biogeochemical conditions, including greater concentrations of organic matter and sulfate reduction rates, that resulted in greater MeHg concentrations in sediments and surface water particulates from marsh interiors compared to other features.

Smallpox vaccination is associated with several potential cutaneous adverse reactions, ranging from benign self-limited hypersensitivity reactions to life-threatening eczema vaccinatum and progressive vaccinia. Acral papulovesicular eruption is a distinct presentation that has been described in US Military service members following vaccination with the second-generation smallpox vaccine (ACAM2000, Sanofi Pasteur Biologics Co). We describe a case of this unique cutaneous eruption and review previously described cutaneous adverse events associated with smallpox vaccination.

Background: Group antenatal care (G-ANC) is a promising model for improving quality of maternal care and outcomes in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) but little has been published examining the mechanisms by which it may contribute to those improvements. Substantial interplay can be expected between pregnant women and providers' respective experiences of care, but most studies report findings separately. This study explores the experience and effects of G-ANC on both women and providers to inform an integrated theory of change for G-ANC in LMICs.

Objective: Excess gestational weight gain (GWG) is associated with adverse long and short-term outcomes for both woman and child, yet evidence demonstrates pregnant women are frequently not engaging in healthy behaviours linked to appropriate weight gain. The purpose of the current study was to explore women's values and beliefs related to weight, nutrition and physical activity during pregnancy and to describe how these beliefs influence their behaviours.

Methods: As part of a larger randomized controlled trial, we conducted 20 focus groups with 66 pregnant women between 16 and 24-weeks gestation using a semi-structured interview guide.

Objective: There are limited reports of the clinical significance of Raynaud phenomenon (RP) in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), with some suggesting RP is associated with less severe lupus. Since most prior studies were small and/or focused on a specific race/ethnic demographic, it is unclear if those results are generalizable. We evaluated whether RP was associated with demographic and clinical factors in a large multiethnic SLE cohort.
